I truly believe Frieren is AOTY material and feel the only reason it wasn't nominated this year is the season isn't finished yet, so they snubbed it because of the implied recency bias. But this show really is perfect anime IMO, the animation, cinematography, choreography, sound design, music score, vfx, storytelling, character writing, character design, world building, tension building and so much more honestly. This reminds me of how I felt watching FMAB back in the day.
Definitely, the anime has to finish all 28 episodes so we can give it a full fair judgement so i believe it wasnt included this year for that, but if anything else wants to win anime of the year over frieren its gonna have to be on another fucking level
Fall animes aren't nominated the same year they are in . Like how Chainsawman is nominated in this year Aoty but it aired 2022 fall . Frieren is gonna be nominated next year
That one part where Aura was talking about instability and/or variation of mana output that comes with suppression of mana? Remember that. Remember it!
When Heiter said Frieren has one fifth of his mana means that one tenth of Frieren's mana is equal to Heiter one fifth, which means Heiter mana is worth of 500 years of training, that party is goated
@@bacsrm6897 yeah you dont know that, what we know for sure its one tenth even if it was lower that doesnt mean Heiter is only a normal priest. No normal priest is capable of what Heiter has done with the same party
@@bacsrm6897 Don't really think so. Heiter is probably the most powerful priest there ever was. He was able to sustain the party for 2 months without food and AIR trapped in the shield.
Well, I mean I think it's very important to note, that when Heiter said that Frieren has about 1/5th of his mana - he does say that's not bad at all. Which further reinforces your point, this man was powerful enough for him that most magic users he met would have less than than 1/5th of his mana
the thing english speaking ppl didn't understand due to translation is about Frieren's nickname. the slayer sounds a bit dumb, and it is, because its bad translation. if you take japanise name of the title, it sound Sousou no Frieren, but if you look at hyroglyphic, first 2 kanji is her nickname and the rest of it is her name, now if you put those 2 first kanji in translator the resull will be "funeral". her nickname should be like "Frieren who makes the funeral" or something like this. basicaly it means she the one who will be on your funeral.
It makes sense that the Demon King killed Most of the elves 1000 years ago, The elves would be a great threat over a long period of time. just imagine how many of them would be around now with a crazy amount of Mana
What impressed me the most here was Heiter's mana pool. He has half the amount of mana Frieren had after 1000 years of training while he himself has only been alive a couple of decades. Frieren was suppressing it to 1/10 and Heiter said she has 1/5 of his. For some who are confused, they kinda overdid the mana animation here so it looked like she's suppressing it more than 1/10th.
The thing is Himmel couldn't perceive it, he is a little cheat. Friren showed her power to save a lil Himmel, but never realized it the boy and young men were one and the same. He had a crush on her ever since, you could say he likes em older.
dang spoiler. you know people do praise frieren for how well the story telling is, sometimes writer give a little tease or something got left unexplained intentionally so they could comeback to that later on for much greater impact for the viewer, that's what makes a good story . and here you are writing this comment shamelessly.
as a german speaker the names in this show are so unbearably cringe its like the writer found a german dictionary and started randomly naming his characters

If you remenber when Frieren met Fern, she liked her specifically 'cause Fern was able to hide her presence since she was a kid.
25:51 Aura's head flying off her body followed by "Are youuuu aaaalright?" is amazing.
I loved how they used the clothing and architecture in the Flamme flashbacks to emphasize it being a thousand years ago.
Flame casting spells without a staff shows how powerful she really was.
Frierens clay copy casting spells with no Arms shows how powerful she is😅
@@GaniEmi with limited lifespan Flamme were stronger like that. Imagine if she had lifespan like Frieren.
the scene where she reveals her mana is straight up fuickihg PEAK
Fking goosebumps...
When the songs "zoltraak" and "fear brought me this far" hits in one episode. one of the best episodes till now.
23:43 when you're started hearing boss music, and it's not yours. Poor Aura.
Flamme have many crazy and powerful spells yet her favourite one is just a spell that creates flower field

No, I don’t think Aura is alright. 😂
Knowing how popular and successful this anime is, I am pretty sure it would be a matter of "when" the announcement of season 2 would be.
yeah and season 2 have the best arc of the serie as of now!
Not gonna wait tho, Im 100% read the manga after this season ended 😂
You never know, its madhouse. They didnt even give one punch man a second season themselves
This anime is Beautiful in every way! The way they're telling this story is so fantastic.

I still see the freiren walking out is just a twitter guy who loses a debate. 😂 The legendary "kys" 😂
