LOL the knowing smirk from the guitarist...hahaha i love how that's a thing. Has happened to me before. Not in a while though...so I guess I better learn this riff =)
Such a good video. I’ve played this in C for so long with the wrong timing. Sounds awesome timed correctly. I’d don’t understand why you say it’s thirds? I’m a beginner and I’m seeing Root 7th (5 and 7b) to a 4 chord (1 and 3) and back to dominant (3 and 5). What am I missing?
When I sometimes look at my tutorials, when they're online I hear me say wrong stuff: like A, when I mean E- and wonder, "how on earth could I have said that?". Multitasking live blurbing lapses. Sorry, might have been the case here, two. ;-)

Sorry, cant go into details in comments. Happy already if I can heart all of them. You cant imagine how much work AROUND my tutorials it gets... Pheww...
🎵 Christian this is yet another of your super duper licks, ready to go use in a band or solo piano situation. And for a change we are in the guitar key of E! Wonderful, thanks so much for continuing to post such informative and enjoyable videos. Cheers! 🎵
As much as I like this tutorial, I do not think it's as accessible as it should be ( to a larger audience of keyboard players ) and that is a shame. Yes nice riff and good execution as a piece of playing. For me this is fine as I have been playing for ages and so when I see something like this then I can see what is being played and I figure out how to catch the riff. However, I have to watch very carefully and effectively make an estimation. But for someone who is learning this would be a struggle to comprehend as there is no real detail on what is being played. Maybe that is not the idea but it says "tutorial" and its a blues ( so it repeats ) and therefore calling out the chord fragments for the first 30 seconds would help many players and they would make more progress in my humble opinion.

Key of E is fine for guitar players. How about in G, or F, or Bb for piano players?
