I play guitar, and I just bought a keyboard. This seems like a good channel for beginners. It's definitely a good place to start. Thanks for the instruction.
@@lawrencetaylor4101 I'll start with versions and then invert them. I know a little about music theory but when I started to learn guitar I noticed that "Hey that song has the same chord as that song". Then I realised it's chord progressions. I couldn't believe it. They already there. I used to say 0, 5, 7. Theyr'e the open string 5th fret and 7th fret. I think that is I IV V in proper musical terms. I love music.
Thanks for all the great examples of riffs based on I IV I7. Couple of other big 60’s ones: Louie, Louie & Good Vibrations (chorus), Elton John’s early career. Someone should write a book…
What an incredible lesson this was, ok I am not playing these simple 3 chord blues like you but it is sounding a bit like I am on the right track and this was within an hour, keep up the good work.
I just can't believe how closely your guidance mirrors my own approach to keys over the last year or so. As a gigging guitarist I've already got a firm foundation and a good ear. Building piano technique was my goal. In three days since finding you site my lh/rh coordination now "works"....its like I've walked thru a door that was previously just tiny bit open to me. Thanks. One thing I'd share...none of this happens by accident, you've GOT to put in the time.
Ive been hearing the left hand chord playing in my head all day as I recognised it as you started playing. I got relief when the song came to me: ABBA - WHY DID IT HAVE YO BE ME. From their Arrival album. Its a very catchy track!! Subbed.
Love the blues and really want to see some instruction on slow blues with one left hand chord positions over the top of right hand licks and runs…want to start out with slow blues vs the faster rhythms of having to coordinate left with right 🎹🎶
I used to play keyboards in a band when I was 15. I want to buy a fender Rhodes and learn to play some blues licks to add to my garageband guitar tracks.
Very useful and explained brilliantly. Thanks, I still struggle separating my left hand when doing a blues shuffle and triplets with right hand. My left hand wants to do triplets.
OMG..All I want to know is how to change a 4 note chord to 3 notes...impossible to find on line..except one person said remove top note???? I cannot reach 4 notes in some chords and I do not want to roll them..Advice would be appreciated..Thanks!!!
Yes you are right. I’m trying to learn songs here man I’m not here to stay here and hear you talk. I’ve been struggling to find a song, piano chord, a easy one for me to learn so hard to find actually good teachers are used to have this very easy, simple teacher, but I already watch all his videos to anybody that needs a easy piano teacher. His name is becoming a piano superhuman.

Totally forgiven. I knew exactly what you meant the second you played that awesome riff.
@@em-rg3xf Me too. Still amazes me that people like Piano from Scratch do all this for nothing.
You are the best piano teacher on you tube. Thank you brother
Thanks, appreciate it
Yes, this channel and Jason Zac are my best two YT channels...both are excellent in the way they teach piano!
I highly recommend them!
There's an old TV show called The odd couple when I try to play the blues I get caught up on The odd couple theme
PS great teaching

It's a great channel to learn. His chords and chord inversions videos are the best.

No probs, have fun with it
Here i think I'm gonna learn blues and all i get is Curious George flashbacks!
Ive been hearing the left hand chord playing in my head all day as I recognised it as you started playing. I got relief when the song came to me:
ABBA - WHY DID IT HAVE YO BE ME.
From their Arrival album. Its a very catchy track!!
Subbed.
Thank you for this great lesson - and ALL your lessons! Appreciate them so much!
thanks, Simone!
Fantastic lesson, really gets to the deal of simple blues improv better than too much theory
Bravo Tres bien
great lesson very cool very talented 🎸
Thank you!!! You have inspired me to get my piano skills (limited) and add my harmonica ! Bravo!

Excellent. More on ray. Like. What I say 💪
excellent - many thanks 🎹❤
Really well explained.
Hang on...isn't that boogie woogie?? Off to practise now!

Yea takes some practice but stick with it, it will click eventually!
Oh man, that is fantastic!
Merci beaucoup.
Hey, I appreciate your Videos, really help me out learning the Piano. Would you say simply piano is good for getting the basics straight at home?
Bit like hill street blues theme🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Boogies🎉❤
Great videos! I love jazz and blues on piano. I’m a beginner pianist, can u add the key name for a little extra?
Try " I came a long way from St.Louie"
Hey, is this actual song what you're playing in 2:09? Thanks for video ❤
I wish I could get my left hand to work independently like this
Practice… a bunch!!
Bro I literally was thinking the same thing trying this. My brain literally breaks trying to do this.
what keyboard are you using please?
There are plenty. For example:
Riders on the Storm by the Doors
Cantaloupe Island by Herbie Hancock
Great choices. I often listen to this version of cantaloupe island th-cam.com/video/GZOkyQx3jIw/w-d-xo.html

You are my favorite
Genius idea having overlaying keyboards

James Brown's solo!
WTF are you showing me :-). Long time no comment. right now learning holding out for a hero. Will mix this in now. thank you so much
Hey! How's the playing going?
@@PianoFromScratch mixed :-) Practicing my scales also with somewhere over the rainbow. nice to transpose and succeed

Didn't you say that you were on Skill Share? What is your course name?
I don't have a course on skill share myself but I did a few videos sponsored by skill share 👍
Another song - Mess of Blues (Elvis)
OMG..All I want to know is how to change a 4 note chord to 3 notes...impossible to find on line..except one person said remove top note???? I cannot reach 4 notes in some chords and I do not want to roll them..Advice would be appreciated..Thanks!!!
Why not play the low root note with your left hand and play the 3 5 b7 or whatever with your right?
Reminds me of “Chattanooga Choo Choo”
"Devil with the Blue Dress on! "
This felt a bit too rushed for a beginner- would have been nice to break it down a bit more and run through it slowly
You can slow down the video; I do that bcuz I have ADD .
Just go slow man
