I think a lot of us watch quietly without commenting. I just wanted to say thank you for having the courage to share some of your life with us. I find it inspiring how much thought and intention you put into your wardrobe purchases. All your new pieces are lovely on you and the silhouette your trousers create is so beautiful.
I like the symbolism of buying a bag with the money from your rings. A ring links you to someone and a bag carries things; your favourite things. You’re taking your favourite things with you as you move forward and leaving what doesn’t align with you anymore behind… Happy wearing Jess. ❤
I’m a new subscriber in the last several weeks and I adore your content, personal vibe, and channel. I just turned 55 and am moving through menopause and into a whole new second life (which includes leaving what no longer fits me, behind). We may be at different stages in life, but I find your focus on renewal and presence deeply relatable and encouraging, and EXCITING. Thanks so much for staying true to your voice as you grow. Proof to us all that whatever we’re becoming is already in the flow of belonging.
Hi Jess! Congratulations on your lovely purchases! I’m also a writer and love being surrounded by books as well. I recently bought a vintage Chanel double flap and am hoping to relocate to Paris soon as well!!! Thank you for sharing part of your life with us!
I have never seen you more happy and radiant than now, Jess 🥰 it seems like you found your place on earth. So happy for you! ❤ And these are perfect additions to your wardrobe 👌🏻✨
You're absolutely thriving and I am so here for it! Every piece is so classic and timeless, and as someone who loves the things she owns to have a story behind them, hearing the story behind your Chanel bag was beautiful x
I think you are just right to treat yourself to things you’ve wanted a long time from Chanel with the money from your rings. I sold mine too after I got divorced. I know some people are commenting here that you aren’t relatable anymore but I disagree - it’s not like you have loads of Chanel purchases and you put a lot of thought into this. I know it’s not easy to leave a marriage and if something that comes as part of the ending can bring you some joy then go for it! I absolutely love your style and vibe and you are inspiring me to start writing again. Just always be yourself Jess ❤ as you are doing ❤
I haven’t commented for a very long time, but do watch all of your vlogs. It is nice to see your growth from you past and how you are aspiring in your career and your clothing choices. I see some negative comments about that. You are young and developing yourself in Paris. Love your purchases. You are absolutely correct. I have some article of clothing I have had for 20 years and they still look wonderful and last week I went to a fashion show and the same styles were shown and same colours, that I have,, so everything comes back and some classics pieces, will never go out of style. Good for you. All the best.
It's nice to see you so happy Jess 🤎. Love everything that you bought, especially the shoes.. oh my. Good to see you again. Much love, Cindy from Holland 🤗
Go for it! I’ve watched your videos for years - you have the most fantastic style 💕 the pieces you’ve selected are classics and very sophisticated. Tres chic ✨ xx
You are glowing at the moment! I think it’s really poignant you chose your a beautiful bag made in the year of your wedding. You do always give your purchases a lot of thought, so spoil yourself and enjoy! Life is short! x
Gorgeous choices as always following your heart in a way that makes everything special and meaningful! Lovely to see you back in Paris! And so stylish! And chic. 🩷🩷🩷🙏
I am so impressed by how you are still true to your values, even though your life and personal style has changed so much. It would be so easy to stuff your closet and forget everything about simple living in a beautiful city like Paris. When I started following you we had a very similar lifestyle, interior style and fashion style. I’m still living a quiet life in the countryside, while you’ve turned Parisian chic. Still I get so much inspiration from you, because you’re showing us how even though our circumstances may change, we can always live an intentional life ❤
Beautiful, classical pieces which will not go out of style. Perfect for a capsule wardrobe and you. I agree, it's memories and emotions which make an item, often more than the item itself - no point in being sat in a drawer, gathering dust and clogging up the mind.
Ahhh the bag is a wonderful. The story made me sad and happy all at once for you. Loved the vlog and although many of these purchases are luxury, I appreciate your attitude is not one of "I want the status piece", but appreciation for the item and its beauty. So happy for you on this new and exciting journey. Loved every piece!!!
Things of quality have no fear of time. ✨ This is SO exciting!!! Good for you for treating yourself by investing in quality timeless pieces such as these. I have done the same in the recent years and found that I desire less 'things' as a result and feel more content with my wardrobe. Here's to refining ourselves and our styles. Xx
I would love to see an updated wardrobe tour😍😍😍 Showing us how you store your clothes, telling us why you love each piece and maybe show us some outfit combinations in the end. Just like you did during the last couple of years😊
Very chic. You can never go wrong with classics. I have always bought the best quality clothing I could because they last. Over time, the investment makes sense.
Hello Jessica , you are very kind person , I really enjoy watching your videos . I wish you happy life in Paris and success in your carrier 🙏🏻God bless you 🙏🏻❤️
Nice to see that you are so excited regarding the love notes pocket even if you have just gone through a divorce yourself. Since it's a second-hand bag, are you sure there are no notes left inside from the previous owner? 😀 When my relationship ended, I donated the proceeds from my ring to "Mothers to Mothers". This is a translation. I don't know if the organization exists under that name in other countries. They distribute materials and clothing to families with young children who are experiencing financial difficulties. I didn't want to be the beneficiary of something that was a gift to me.
Also feeling that this content is no longer for me, the double Chanel tipped me over, feels a bit francais cosplay, please be careful walking the bag out and about especially around the Gare du nord, wear it cross body.
Good luck with your channel in the future but I preferred when you were more into ethical brands rather than high end brands, each to their own as they say, everyone has the right to make their own choices. Will miss your videos but content not for me anymore.
Jessica is young, divorced and growing into her own for the past few years; and it is nice to see her develop with her business and clothing. Some people, like myself buy clothing and accessories that I am going to use some I have had for 20 years and still look great. Some people buy things and they last a very short time. If you don’t enjoy her growing and dealing with her past and getting stronger in her mindset, then you don’t understand her plight. She is not a vlogger that is superficial spending her days in designer shops. Good for her, she makes her own money.
@@darlenechandler2403 I did not say I didn’t enjoy her growing or dealing with her past or getting stronger in her mindset, I said I preferred her content on ethical fashion. Like you I buy quality clothing and have clothing that has been in my wardrobe 20 years I prefer quality to quantity, nowhere did I say she was superficial or that she spends her days in designer shops. I wished her well in the future but the channel is not for me now.
I love that you have turned your rings into a Chanel bag from the same year as your marriage! I'm seperated from my significant other (after 14 years toghterher) since little more than a year but did not get any money from him except just half of our flat, all the money I've put in to our home as in furnitures etc is still there, and "he have no money to give" but he still is going on travels with our child and buy new car and so on... So frustrated and angry!
Jess! Look at you being so “Parisian” buying the best quality and feeling confident in those choices. I love this for you because it represents so much more than just “things”. You made some beautiful timeless choices. The trousers look lovely and as someone who dresses in trousers a lot, it certainly helps to accessorise well. More feminine shirts (like the white lace styles at Sezane) or a sweet cardigan with pretty buttons or the new jacket all help to give the trousers a feminine touch. ❤
In defense of her purchases: Chanel ballet flats are only about $800 USD. That’s a lot of money for one item but if you are only going to have 4-5 pairs of shoes and you want them to last for a long time, they are a good buy. Plus, she bought the Chanel bag second hand and sold her rings to pay for it. I don’t feel like her fashion compass has gone that far astray. It all makes sense to me and i am glad that her life is going well.
@@renewalrenewal6938 Not necessarily. With the rings that was the case probably, but as I understand Jess very much sees herself in the bag and the endless possibilities life has for us each day...
I do have to agree with some of the other comments, i feel more and more this channel is about showing off "stuff" and less about mininalism and ethical living. Everytime i watch another video i feel like I'm being told "i don't have enough, I don't look good enough until i buy all this stuff" and it's literally this part of youtubers I hate because they're feeding into this same old advertising scam by making you feel like you're not enough by showing off all the stuff they have all the time. Like why are bags, shoes and clothes so important?! Just fills like it's another void filling thing which is fine but I didn't think that this is what this channel was about 😢
Your glow is back Jess and I love it for you. Totally agree about getting something for you with your ring money, it’s like an homage to what was, but totally for you. I still have mine, I’ll probably do something similar but I’m undecided as to what just yet / I’m not too sure how to go about selling them.
Jessica your bag is so gorgeous i love that you did that ❤ my son bought me a mullberry for loving looking after my dieing dad but when i use it i feel sad so it flipped for me i loved that my son did such i beautiful purchase for me i do use it but bitter sweet you now ❤ anyways love all your new things very elegant for paris ❤❤❤❤ lv Rhoda xxx
Love the Chanel flats, so classic, insoles might be good to keep your feet from coming out the shoe. I have narrow feet so find them useful. Love the bag too❤
Followed your vlogs from the beginning and though I’ve not gone through a divorce, there is something in the air for me this year. I try so hard to be sustainable and think though purchases. However this year I’ve thrown caution to the wind with a few things starting ballet lessons, getting my first tattoo, buying things that have been on my wishlist for a while. I’m also the same age. Maybe there’s a shift but sometimes it’s nice to do things for no reason other than doing them for yourself. ❤
I too break all my new shoes in around my house before wearing them out and about 😄 I love all your intentional purchases and I am glad you finally bought them for yourself ❤
I love the new additions! The bag and the story behind it 🤍 my favorite 😍 Before you put the protector for the sol , wear them outside at least once or scrap gently the sol so the protection will stick better , that what I was to to do with my Chanel boots🙌🏻
Why? I love how Jess is finding her freedom and sense of self! When you’re with a partner for so long, you tend to lose your own individual identity! Now that she’s finally broke free of that, she’s glowing! Jess seems more centered more at peace and I think Paris is helping her in a way to heal. Love Jess in Paris♥️

I wouldn’t have the budget for these items but I do like how Jess considers every purchase carefully and only buys what she loves! My fav is the shoes I had a similar style pair from tx max and I wore them loads before they died lol😂
