When making potato chips at home, this settled starch was used by my Dadi to make papad. She used to wash the starch and then boil it with water and jeera till little thick consistency and then pour one spoon for each papad on a plastic sheet in the sun.
Just wanted to say thanks for this. I'm currently in the process of making my first batch of potato starch and just made the potato chaff snack as a side for lunch. Very easy to do and was a hit with my family! I suspect that I'll be asked to make them again in the future -- which means I'll have an excuse to make more potato starch!
I am very proud of myself because I challenged a lot of circumstances and everything that is destroyed in my house, I fix it myself, from carpentry and plumbing to the refrigerator, I fixed it, and any electricity I fixed, and all this I shared in my channel and seriously one of the most beautiful and useful channels and see for yourself ❤
Aapki Cornstarch ki recipe meine try ki thi, yeh to mere liye ekdam naya hai, Vrat/upvas ki recipes banane k liye kaafi useful hai yeh potato starch. Thanks for sharing 🙏
U R JUST FABULOUS..totallyy out the box ideas and recipes ..have never come across a channel whos been so innovative and consistently so...Wishing you good luck😍
I'm really impressed, this is so simple to make and straight forward 👏 🙌 ✨️. I must give it a try, potato starch helps make very crispy fried chicken and fish. For the potato chaff, there are some Swahili snacks in East Africa called Katlesi one can make with them, you stuff ground meat in them and fry them, very tasty snacks.
Greetings from Scotland. Thank you for this video! I found my way here because I was interested in finding out how to make the traditional undercoat for Russian dolls. Several layers of potato starch is applied to the dolls by hand. Looking forward to trying this and exploring more of you delicious recipes! Thank you!

I was watching this video from Romania. It was really detailed, so it seems absolutely helpful to me. Thank you! I will maybe try it sooner or later, because I've read about the beneficial properties of using potato starch in some of the recipes.
Funnily enough i'm a romanian watching this too, because some guy made potato starch in a video and i went like "wait you can MAKE IT??" so now i wanna try Btw wonderful recipe indeed
Omg I’m going to try this 😍😍 quick question; roughly how many grams of potato starch can we yield from 1kg of potatoes? And for how long can this be kept?
Ok, let me tell you, I watch this because I want to show to my best / favorite student DONDDONG baby what STARCH is.... you know, I asked him so many times "WHat is starch?", he showes me "Knee growing"! I said : what ? if you don't know, just say: I have no idea, so, now, I am trying to show my baby dongdong what starch is, !!!! love you from Korea !
It was a very nice idea of showing how to make homemade potato starch to us ! I liked this process and I'm going to try it with great pleasure ! Congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a very good instructional video! Thank you! But, it seems like a huge time commitment when as an alternative, I can buy a $5 bag of potato flour and use the day for cooking with it instead of making it! More videos, please.
Wow 😮.. Thank you so very much for this video 🤗❣️... I discovered your channel today... I"ll be watching your videos .... By the way, I am Nadia, watching from Bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩... Take care and may Allah bless you 🥰❤️
Clever smart & interesting informative video. Next please show how to make modified corn starch ,corn syrup & high fructose corn syrup are made at home. Thank you.
Well you can use your oven to slowly remove the heat with the lowest setting possible with the fan on. Or if you have a dehydrator then you can just stick it in there.
@@MyLockDownRasoi WOW, you impress me‼️ Although l subscribed awhile back, I subscribed within less than a minute of watching my first video of you making one of your amazing DIYs. THANK YOU SO MUCH from the USA 🇺🇸🇺🇸❗️
Greetings from Los Angeles California, thank you for this, I was looking for an easy way to make my own flour out of the abundance of potatoes I can easily grow.
Am from India. Pls also post how we can use this starch in the cooking process (preferably vegetarian). Also post how we can use the potato chaff otherwise.
Thank you for this! For some reason the stores around me don't have potato starch and I need it for a gluten free bread recipe. I figure I could probably use corn starch, but II also was gifted a 10 pound bag of potatoes. lol
😅it was fascinating and educational to see how potato starch is made, however potato starch currently costs $1 Australian for 100g whereas 1 kg of potatoes cost $1.60 to $4 a kilo so at this time it is not really practical to make your own at home and quite expensive. Anyway I enjoyed the video. Thank you.
FYI you can use the water to water your plants. It has a lot of potassium and it will help your plants flower abundantly!
Nice Suggestion 👌
Huh. Why didn't I think of that.
Is this Safe??
Watching from Ireland 🇮🇪 as I can't find potato starch ANYWHERE right now, and want it to make my gluten free pasta. TY for the video 🤗

Glass noodles
You can mix half cup potato starch with 1 cup rice flour and make rice noodles
It is the best flour ever to fry chicken with. If you ise this instead of flour, you will have very crunchy chicken

BUT potatoes are toxic, so if you can make your own starch from organic, much healthier.
