This is amazing! My husband has been a Certified Contractor for 50 years. It’s the same old story about the shoe makers children having no shoes? Well, I have a bedroom (ours as a matter of fact), and I have wanted this style of wall done for this room for a couple of years now to no avail. He’s going out of town for family business, and I’m going to be staying home. I have the tools, I know how to use them, and now I know EXACTLY how I’ll be spending my time 😅! Surprise 🤩❣️

You should use some adhesive to minimize the joint expanding and contracting dependent on the temps in the room. Usually results in gaps forming after installation and caulking.

Without glue, you can disassemble without a major mess.

If you use MDF and that PVC molding trim, you'll never have movement.

My guess is she installed a block the same thickness as the trim and then hung the mirror onto that to keep it all flush.

Some tips:
- Don't abuse those brad nails, you're back wall is wrecked if you ever decide to get rid of this. The smaller bits of wood can be jointed in the longer boards. And please glue that PVC to the wood, that saves you hundreds of holes in your wall
- Paint top edge pieces before attaching to the wall, makes it a whole lot easier
- Sand and use the saw dust with wood glue to fill the gaps between boards.
- use a miter to ensure perfect corners on your pvc
