Playing in the states I gave myself a $12,000 budget, since that's roughly equal to £10,000. I got a 2003 Ford Excursion v10 for $4,200, a 2007 Saturn Sky (think 2000s Opel GT Roadster) for $3,995, and for the "practical daily" in the garage a 2008 Toyota Matrix for $3,800. Total: $11,995
Loving this format and overall I'd have to give it to Rory for including the SAAB, but they both blew the budget early on their respective Audis. I played along, only took 3:45 to choose my 3 cars: VW Touareg 5.0 V10 TDI (£5490) Subaru Impreza 2.0 Turbo WRX (only £2990, but it may disqualify me as it's imported and not UK registered, so track days only) Mazda MX-5 1.8i (£1499) I'd then get a trailer for the Subaru and use the Touareg to cart it to/from track days. What's not to like?
I did the same thing, but with what you can get here in Sweden. 1: Audi S8 V10 -07, 2: Volvo C70 convertible -00, 3: Cadillac Deville DTS -00 Volvo is RHD in a LHD country, and Caddy has bad head gaskets, or pulled head bolts... Sooo, all totally unsellable but cool in some ways.
I went for: - VW Touareg TDI V10, 03 plate, £5,490 - Mazda RX8 228, 56 plate, £2,795 - Audi A4 Avant 1.8T S Line, 04 plate, £1,600 45 seconds spare and that A4 looks a gem 👌
I gave it a try as well. 12000 EUR budget. A very nice S6 V10 with 165K for 9500€ A class 210AMG (Yes, they exist) for 1000€ and a bit of a panic bought Audi TT 1.8T for 1500€
I’ve gone for an 03 VW Touareg v10 at £5,990, 99 Alfa GTV 2.0 T Spark Turismo at £1,999 and an 06 Skoda Fabia 1.4 Ambiente 5dr at £1995 for when the others let me down.
I found: 5.2L Audi S8 2006 (£7,300) 1.7L Vauxhall Corsa 2012 (£2,000) and the best one London taxi with 500,000 miles on the clock for the price of just £500😂

1.v10 toureg £2995 2. 2003 Golf 2.8 V6 VR6 £2000 3. Boxster 2002 £5000 Youve got an off roader, a fun run around and then a weekend car, toureg can be used like a van if you need it to, Mk4 golfs are just iconic and a boxster is a good introduction to sports cars

WINNER 🏆 Thanks James
5.0 V10 TDI Touareg for £5990. 2.5 i6 bmw Z4 for £2575 and a 2.3 i5 Volvo S60 T5 for £1000. V10 straight 6 and the baby V10 of the Volvos in-line 5 all for under 10k
@@AutoalexCars I spend most of my time scrolling though auto trader and for some reason I was looking at V10 toureg’s the other day so that was out of the way immediately and then I filtered by acceleration and the budget I had left and those two gems just popped up. So yes it was 5 mins but most of it was sheer luck 😅
Yo AutoTrader .... care to change the BHP filter so it's a little less specific? It would be cool if you changed it so that selecting "200bhp" as minimum was "roughly 200bhp", i.e. include all of the ones which are 197bhp. It sucks having to filter through 150bhp cars just to see the higher powered ones.
Couldn't really find anyone commenting on who won between them to. It's 100% Alex. Sorry Rory. The main car, S8, way cooler than the S6. If you were to go for a wagon, then it could be, you know ... a fair fight. As some people need wagons some don't, so there is that. I'm surprised no one went for the M5 E60.
😂 This is your toughest yet! Lots of Mercedes cars in that search range. 😮 1. Rolls Royce silver spirit at 5,700 (might as well roll in a Rolls. 2. Merc S Class at 3,995 3. Merc. CLK 500 at 2,700 I know I'll spend 10 times that keeping the number 2 and 3 running 😂
I can't even think of many cars with a V10 that is under 10 grand. The only thing that pops into mind is the early RS6 with that turbo V10. Maybe a really high mileage M5?
In America there are a number of Dodge and Ford pickup trucks, SUVs, and vans, that had a V10 in the late 90s early 2000s that are now relatively cheap.
2003 VW Touareg V10 TDI - £5990 2002 Mazda MX5 Phoenix - £1995 2002 Volvo V70 2.3 T5 - £1850 Looking through the comments, it seems that most of us went for the exact same VW Touareg
Glad to see this series bringing to light something that's annoyed me for ages- Why can't auto trader filter by no. of cylinders? The data is included under specification already, just get it added to the filters, it'd take the devs almost no effort at all to implement
I finished in 3 minutes 🤣 vw tourareg v10 £5490 Mk1 mr2 £3999 Mk4 golf 1.9 pd £400 And got £9889 so £111 for fuel to take the mr2 for a smash With more time I found a jag xk8 for £3000 which could replace the mr2

😂😂😂
Yeah, a second one for parts, parked in the garage
Per mounth
I went for V10 Touareg 6k, e36 318i 2.5k, and MX-5 NB 1.5k. Compromised on the v10 to have more budget for the other two
Exactly what I chose
isnt touareg a disaster from reliability perspective?
@@J-_-S probably yes, but I think most sub £10k V10s would all be problematic in this area
how did you find a running nb for 1.5k????
My bad I didn't read the description 😭😭 I thought NBs were still cheap but I guess not
i went for
2003 V10 Touareg (5,990)
2009 Blue BMW 325i Touring Manual (2,995)
2002 MG ZS 1.8 Manual (1,200)

From what I read the car had a w12 but it was supposed to represent an A8, not even an S8. They even dub in v8 sounds in some scenes.
V10 Touareg 5.5k, ford fiesta st 2.3k and a mx5 1250 sorted

I'd buy 3 MR2 Mk2s and build one really good one from parts of the others.
These videos are great. Really enjoy them!
Being pedantic but it was the Audi A8 W12 in the Transporter films :D
All I wanna know is when the heck the Weissman MF5 is going to be cheap enough to own and in the states at that! We've got crappy 25yr rules here.
So vw touareg 2003v10 fsh £5490

Imo this would have been better with bigger budget to actually pick cars you would actually buy personally on a bigger budget
Instead of just whatever adds up to 10k which is pennies anyway
Like if your budget was 100k to buy 1 v10 + 1 suv for thr family + 1 daily
And the timer was 15 min to give you time to actually pick quality cars
Would make this segment more professional and people can learn from what you pick
Instead of random junk that adds up to the total
It's supposed to just be a bit of fun and not a serious demonstration of what you can buy for that budget.
Thats what makes the game fun.
I’m seeing a lot of people pick the 03 Touareg V10 for 5990. That must be the same single car on sale, and everyone picked it 😂
SAAB!!!!

Saab V6 on my list though, TurboX baby 😎
Touareg v10, 320d Msport estate Audi Tt 1.8t all black.
