Hello Angela Lovely walk. Know this area well as we have stayed at the Apex hotel which is just a five minute walk to the market. Soon it will be chilly chatty walks. Thanks for the walk. Take care Chris and Sandra of Canada.
It's such an interesting and historic area to explore; not sure if I've mentioned it before, but it was the City of London that first made me want to start a TH-cam channel as I just love wandering around there. And yes, it's definitely cooling down now! All the best, Angela
Well Hello there Angela and greetings from Canterbury. Mum and I have a bit of a break from attending all our events for a short while before we get very busy again. We will watch your Leadenhall Market video soon with great interest. 25 minutes in length I see. We've never as yet been there but I have known about it for years and it's been on our To Do list for a while. Maybe at Christmas time when I'm sure it will be nicely decorated. Also very much want to visit Battersea Power station. I understand they are currently celebrating their one year anniversary since their grand reopening. Also, I believe more shops and restaurants have now moved into previously empty spaces. Anyhow, really looking forward to your chatty walk through Leadenhall. Interestingly, I keep getting Leadenhall mixed up with Lakenheath, which as you may know is a military base, aka RAF Lakenheath. Oh and I haven't forgotten to reply with some tips about taking the cable car between North Greenwich and London Excel. Also some tips about the North Greenwich peninsula itself. Anyhow, hope all is well with you and family. Talk soon! 🇬🇧🇨🇦
Well I'm glad to hear your taking a bit of time off from all your activities before the Christmas rush! I think Battersea Power Station is well worth a visit, and one year on, I hope those shop units are filling up. I was there a few weeks ago and it was still looking good. And yes, Leadenhall is unique, but even better when you know its history. All the best, Angela
Well thank you so much for subscribing, I really appreciate it:) And I'm glad you enjoyed the walk; it's one of those areas that is so much more interesting when you know its history. All the best, Angela
Worked in Stock Exchange Auditing in the mid to late @70's and lunched in the Lamb on the odd occasion. My senior colleague introduced me to Young's Winter Warmer there without telling me how strong it was!
And I think it's still going strong (really strong) today! I imagine audit in the Stock Exchange was rather different back then too. All the best, Angela
Wow how amazing. So much History along them Streets. Thanks Angela.
So glad you liked it and yes, it's such a historical part of London that often goes missed, but is all the better for knowing it. All the best, Angela
Love your walks. Will invite you to lunch when I move there for the May to August months.
