Probably my favourite part about the story mode is when you enter dedede’s throne room and he says “Get in the elevator, kirby. It’s behind my throne.” Because the text box sounds so intimidating and angry especially since the elevator leads to the dedede boss fight
Plus the music in that room is creepy AF
So Dedede finally realized that the only way to defeat Kirby...is with another Kirby...That's brilliant.
But Kirby was so powerful that not even Kirby can defeat Kirby.

Maybe Kirby's Blowout Blast and Battle Royale are experimental games for a future core 3D Kirby game? With blowout blast testing physics and inhaling, while battle royale tests ability combinations and movesets in a 3D environment.
Exactly my thoughts. They haven't gone whole hog on 3D Kirby yet, they're still poking and prodding at the idea.

Starfy is one of my absolute favorite games. The world, the designs, it's such a shame only one game in the series was ever localized. I'm psyched you're talking about it, but also sad 'cause I feel like now my video on it needs to be pushed back an appropriate amount :P

Yeah, I think underwhelming was a good way to describe this game. The minigames themselves are fine, but no incentive to play them is what really kills this game.
That being said, if some of these games returned as those little mini-games in a future Kirby title, I would definitely welcome that.

PajamaMan i actually abandoned the game cuz the final boss’s beam thing was too tough for me. Came back for it after learning you can exploit it by spamming pause. Your not alone.

I once played the dumpling mini game for literally hours with my friend while on vacation. We sat on our beds and took turns trying to get higher and higher scores. I think one of the highest ones I got was around 55 or so...

I _loved_ Starfy as a kid, and despite some frustratingly repetitive parts, I _loved_ replaying it a year ago.
Basically, this game seems like padding for the 3DS, it's a game with a big name, but without the complex and intricate gameplay that a main-line game would have. Sometimes, this can work out well, like Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Otherwise... it's just a shrug and a sigh.

Honestly though: When your most underwhelming games are a short but fun extension of a minigame from a full game and an all-around solid multiplayer focused game that has a few missed oppurtunities, you know a franchise has a good track record.

Honestly, I enjoy this game enough. Personally, I like Apple Scramble, Robo Bonkers, and Ore Express. I do at least like that some of the mini games have some variety , but I don't feel like it's enough variety. Like probably a lot better stage design, and more use of the interaction mechanic, like when you press R to pick up apples and activate the switch, would've been nice to see more things like that.
Plus the dededestroyer z theme is god-tier even by king dedede boss theme standards
Starfy is one of my favorite Kirby games. Glad someone is finally giving it some well deserved attention.
On the topic of the Legendary Starfy. As a kid whenever I seen the commercial for it I got SUPER hyped, like I wanted the game so bad. But I am of lower middle class, so alas I never obtained it. I actually was so hyped about it I started drawing Starfy along side Kirby, Mario, etc.
It's such a coincidence because I starting playing my starfy copy again and then I suddenly see this. I hope this gives Starfy more recognition. I want them to remaster all the games for the switch. Either way can't wait

Rereleases don't count. If they did then there would be several other games on the list. The reason Kirby's Adventure was mentioned is because it's an updated version that uses the 3D effect of the 3DS.
I jist re watcjed the video. No where does he say re releases dont count. All he sais is Kirby battle royale is the 8th kirby game released when it is the 9th released on the console for me.

I wouldn't say the trend is broken, i actually really enjoyed it. it;s a LOT of fun to grab opponents with the whip and just smack everyone around with them, and robo-bonkers got extremely hectic extremely fast for me. I just think of these as quick play kirby games. the single player isn't objectively outstanding but still a lot of fun and multiplayer is really enjoyable.
It may just be me, but i always heard the streak as "never had a bad game" and i still consider it earned.

The game isn't bad, it is just average. It is still fun to play. Just not exceptional like most other Kirby games.
