  • Here I get the truck together and in the next video I get some electronics in the rig. Maybe run it if that video isn't too long. Either way I will Run That Rc!

    This little km video series really helped me with the axels man it's tedious trying to set them but you're videos showed the best way.

    I always put some grease inside the shocks to keep them moving smoothly.

    • @RunThatRC

      definitely helps. I use penatrating oil, spray occasionally on shock springs and they stay running smoothly.

    My big issue was keeping the grub screws in the km axel tips I reverted back to rtr axels and superglued the driveshaft grub screws to finally stop the bs... Now I just had some portals come in I hope I can get the driveshafts free lmao. The portals I got have metal housing but plastics steering link on the bottom it's weird

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      nice! yeah the grub screws can be a pain. I use a lot of blue thread lock sometimes hahaha.

      @@RunThatRC I tried 2 types of blue threadlock but maybe being a mechanic for 15 years I am not used to such tiny flimsy screws lol. I learned the slightly longer grubs seem to hold alot better. The ones from the slimmer tipped driveshafts you find on amazon. Also I installed portals and wow it's smooth as butter no hairline cracks, I can see how the front steering thingies can bee the first to break but I just ordered a text blazer so... I'm gonna bring more attention from the big crowd by always having a wpl in our videos somewhere.

    Wow....looks way better then I thought ...its such a shame about those portal axles being so weak in the mold

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it is a shame because they do add performance. I heard they have metal ones so those might be a better option. I haven't looked into them yet though.

    Just ordered as first crawler for some budget fun to run with my daughter so its easy to use especially with the small transmitter.

    That’s funny my grandkids call it cheating when I use my electric screwdriver. There’s no way an eight-year-old can start them screws. So I ended up cutting threads on all of them and then they could put it together.

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes for sure. I have problems screwing these things together as well so I'm sure the young ones struggle.

    I wish they would put the actual screw sizes on the instructions. For anyone building one for the first time that would help as the images for the screws are terrible. Why have guess work when you can detail the actual sizes of the screws. It isn't difficult. I get that aftermarket parts won't have that but maybe they should too. I mean, if they intend you to use their parts why not make the buyers life a little easier? Makes the experience better for the consumer and if any of those cheap screws strip, which they do, it is easier for someone to order replacements. Do the simple things well and you prosper.

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the instructions could be better on a lot of these thats for sure.
