Hi, I hope you all enjoy these recipes and try them out for yourself at home. You will find all of the written recipes here: www.pinchofmint.com/post/make-your-own-afternoon-tea-at-home-6-recipes Enjoy!
Hi thank you for the video. It covers so much in a short time with no faffing around. It’s clear instructions and I can see the step by step results I should be achieving I now want to make everything you have shown. It’s great to not have to spend 3 minutes watching someone grate a carrot. Thanks again I am a new subscriber, I look forward to watching future episodes
Surely you'd put the jam on the scones first? If you are serving them warm, and the cream is straight from the fridge, the cream would start to melt and make a bit of a mess before you get the lid off the jam jar! The jam might soften but not melt away, and with the addition of the cold cream, would then maintain a nice shape.
Haha, I would rather not get into a debate on this matter, as I know all too well how serious people get about this 😉 Honestly I like it both ways but your points definitely do make sense! Thank you for watching and leaving a comment, it’s very much appreciated.
@@lisamir9937 I think you'd have to eat them in two halves because a decent scone would be quite 'tall' - even my big mouth wouldn't stretch that far!! 😆😂
Why does this cause such angst? I take my sliced scone and do the same to both bits. Spread the jam on, put the cream on next.then take a small dollop of jam and place in in the centre of the cream. Put the scone together then when it's pulled apart you have both halves the same. Everybody's happy.

Thank you! It would have to be a fair bit after all of that work! How much would you pay?
@@PinchofMintCookingChannel I'd give you my right arm.......
This is a lot of work but would make a great birthday celebration if someone would take the time and effort. 🎉
Yes, it definitely is a lot of work but hopefully this video will inspire some people to give a couple of items a try. Thanks for watching!

I heard the traditional way is to eat the scone 2 parts separately, and it doesn't matter what you put on first
@@lisamir9937 Interesting, that’s sounds good to me! Have one half cream first and one half jam first. That’s the problem solved 😂

Cream first - it's replacing butter. 🇬🇧
Nice, I like cream first too.
