A true Filipino classic. Another really good variation which may sound crazy to some would be using avocados sweetened with condensed milk.

This is a nice pie version. One of my favorite desserts called "Mango Graham Float". I was lucky to get to try this 22 years ago when a friend brought it to school and we share during lunch. we were fought over sharing one cubed slice of this that we beg her to have her mom make more for us. It became famous when a condensed milk company included this recipe on their packaging to sell more of their products and more and more people made slight variation of this. Tiktok also shows me of ice cream and cupcake/jelly version of this. mango really is the one to make this dessert great.

Brown butter sounds delicious! But if you're in a rush or a much simpler process but tastes as good, you just simply use the whole Graham crackers to layer ( no need to Crumb them and no need for butter), and it will soften like cake as it's stored in the freezer overnight. Some just cool them in the fridge but it's really best when frozen. The brown butter crust is a more fancy version 😋. Pai I love it when you feature Filipino dishes ❤

      BAKING TIP:
If you (bake) the pie crust for (7 minutes) than let it (chill) it will take your pie crust to a whole new level of deliciousness!!!😋

Hot Tip! Run your knife under a hot tap to heat it up each time you cut a slice of pie and it will make a cleaner, easier cut. If you find the pie sticks to the bottom of the pan (because you didn't line it) then fill your kitchen sink with some hot water and dip your pie pan into it for a minute to melt the butter in the pie crust base a bit.

Fried chicken from your hometown Hat Yai, and now this mango recipe. I just bought a dozen mango at Costco a few days ago waiting for them to ripen, and I have a full box of graham crakers, and a half carton of whipping cream, and the rest of the items to make this mango pie. Going to amke tomorrow. Thank you, and THUMBS UP!!!

However I froze it overnight and then put it in the fridge for 8 hours before serving and it was too soft. We put it back in the freezer for 1hour and it had a better structure. So I will try the bringing it out from the freezer 1hour before serving option’ may be the best!

this recipe is amazing! by the way, if you've ever made butter from cream (I have, many times), you'll know that you REALLY have to overbeat it for a LONG time for it to start to turn into butter. very fresh cream that is very high in fat turns a bit quicker, but it still takes a good 10+ minutes of beating to get butter, and more like 20-30 minutes with regular cream. so you don't have to worry about overbeating cream too much; it's a lot more work than you might think. it's fun to do, though, if you ever want to try.

there's a variation that i do usually when making this, "peach & mango" and "strawberry and mango" . mango in the Philipiines are the sweetest, so when your making this abroad make sure use manila mangoes or asian mangoes, those are the sweetest and add a pinch of sugar if needed
