Kunzite, the Arabian prince as accordingly to Naoko Takeuchi's description. He and Zoi are my favourite yaoi pair. If only the DiC version hadn't ruined it by making Zoisite a female.
@@anaislekapene752When I re-watched the DiC dub in 2012, I still thought of Zoisite as a man. Reading the comics showed my childhood how inaccurate the heavy censorship was.
I still enjoyed the DiC voices who depicted the characters, though! Started watching Viz dub this week, and nothing has been censored, yet. 😊
I got to meet Kunzite's va at a con last year! It was so great (I already liked him due to him being the voice of Germany in Hetalia). When I told him that I'm Ami (as I was cosplaying her that day) he went "DAMN YOU GIRL!" with his Kunzite voice.

Rose Quartz It was! Made me smile so much. I also got to meet the new dub voice for Michiru and Dr Tomoe at the same con this year. Michiru's va signed my poster that has the cast (inner and outer) in civilian form on it and Tomoe's va told me that he had a blast recording for him.

To be honest, I'm very grateful for the ViZ dub we have now. If it weren't for the older dub, we wouldn't have the fine voice actors we have on this amazing show today.
sorakairi1993 I totally agree with that.i didn’t think the older dub was bad I liked that part of my childhood but I do wish this version was out. I couldn’t get a hold on the Japanese version then.looks like there’s 3-4 diff versions of this anime, original Japanese ,the Dic version ,viz,and sailor moon crystal .im glad the other seasons have finally gotten dubbed idk why it took so long .
@@marisantiago9112 yay! I can appreciate Dic's dub for several reasons, even though I'm not a fan of it. I think now is the perfect time for Sailor Moon to come back, with Crystal that was happening and now the Eternal movies coming out!
Patrick Seizt's voice is awesome! He is great as Laxus, great as Franky and is great in this.

Patrick Seitz's Kunzite is definitely intimidating and awesome sounding, but I'd say that the Denis Akiyama's performance from the 90s has some merit to it as well. Both actors excelled at sounding intimidating in their own way, and I gotta say I don't really think one is inherently better than the other.
2:31 Kunzite, your cape is not a sheld
As what I recall from the manga, the fabric of the cape is capable of deflecting most projectiles and energy shots. Same thing with sailor senshis' clothings, they may look like fabric but are actually armor in disguise. It's just Sailor moon's attack too powerful for his cape, resulting defeat for him.
Kunzite goes with the most theatrics of the four.

No, I'm serious. That brief time you had the dub episodes up on the web site, I watched ALL of Zoisite's episodes because of him!
I CRIED AT HIS DEATH. I've seen the DiC dub two or three times (years ago), and I've seen the Japanese version four or five times. Lucien Dodge and Patrick Seitz made me cry for the first time.
When I rewatch the series on Blu-ray, I don't know which version I'll watch. But I can almost guarantee that Zoisite's episodes will be watched in English.

When will Viz announce the Neon Alley premiere of Sailor Moon R, Part 1, and its BD/DVD release date (likely to be May or June, since that's 3 to 4 months from now)? I can't wait to see the Inners getting their memories back and becoming friends again!
For the record, the R scenes were from BEFORE Usagi showed up, not after, Besides that... yeah. Though it was to give them a better life, in her mind anyway.
Luna D I know the R scenes were from before Usagi came into their lives. I'm just saying, by erasing wiping their memories, they're back to their pre-Usagi, friendless lives!
Even if Usagi is a nice girl, she was still pretty dumb to wipe everybody's memories! She should've at least kept the friendship memories intact, without being the Inner Guardians.

Being a Warcraft nerd... every time Kunzite opens his mouth I hear Garrosh Hellscream. (Yes, I've seen the video of Garrosh doing the Sailor Moon transformation.)
What would be hilarious is if someone dubbed Kunzite lines over video of Garrosh from the WoW cutscenes. Well, the reverse would be just as awesome, Kunzite yelling stuff about the True Horde!

They just re-released the whole first season recently in one set on bluray. It's actually a great price at about $30 as opposed to buying the previous indidual two part seasons for $25+ each

Kunzite's is the one voice I've truly hated so far. Which is really sad because he's one of my favorite characters. Kunzite needs a voice that's classy and nuanced, instead of a voice that sounds like the next thing out of his mouth will be "IT'S OVER 9,000"

Yep, I definitely like Cristina Valenzuela (aka Vee) as Mars. She does a good job sounding b**chy as Mars. A lot of the roles are cast well. The only exception is Nicolas Roye as Shingo. They should've had him voiced by Mona Marshall or Veronica Taylor (who voiced the Russian figure skater, Janelyn, in Episode 39, as well as Katarina in Episode 42, as well as Sailor Pluto, starting in Season 2), who now works in LA, since she moved from New York City in 2013.
