  • Today, we travel on "The Death Railway" which at one point connected Thailand to its neighboring country, Myanmar. Although it does not run through to Myanmar anymore, it still winds through jungles, small villages, and epic passes. We had an amazing time discovering this area of Thailand. It is estimated that a 250,000 people worked on this railway under the harsh Japanese rule during World War II. It is important to recognize the many lives that were lost during the construction of this railway. It is estimated that 90,000 local laborers and 12,000 POW's lost their lives during the construction. The railway and many bridges stand as a powerful symbol of the human spirit and we feel lucky to experience it.

Yeah for sure, you can just get a taxi from the airport to Thonburi Railway station. There are 2 trains a day to Kanchanaburi😃
