Train ticket price in thailand is same price for thai & foreigner except this train Because thai gvt paid over 1 million pound to england gvt after ww2 to buy this railway track back to thailand That why ticket price for foreigner is 100 baht for this train Most foreigner take train from thonburi station to kanchanaburi But I remomment other train it's travel train but only on sat&sun start from bangkok station(hualumpong) you can book before travel day for 1 month
On their next trip they visit a concentration camp, accompanied by more jolly music and occasional mention of the “ Labour force” who went through there oh and something about a war and the tasty snax they bought. Seriously guys, a little more respect would not have cost you anything. This is not a Disney theme park it’s the site of one of the biggest atrocities of WW2. The degradation and abuse POWs and locals suffered at the hands of the Japanese should be treated with some reverence. I’m sure you will laugh this off as some crazy troll. 😢
@@johngodfrey8595 thank you for taking the time to respond. I’m all for people visiting and experiencing and learning but this railroad was built on human suffering of the most unimaginable cruelty. There is no excuse for not knowing this. The clue is in the name. A solemn moment of reflection and acknowledgement would have been appropriate and shown them as better people. @@duchess1131 I want to applaud you for your comments reprimanding the creators of the vlog about the trip on the train over the bridge on the Kwai in Kanchanaburi. Your rightfully critical stance towards the blog is commendable, as it was presented in very poor taste and lacked the respect deserved for the POWs who suffered the atrocities of the barbaric Imperial Japanese Army during the building, construction of the death railway in the dark days as prisoners of the emperor 1942-43 . Your recognition of the thousands of lives lost in the construction of the railway and your call for more consideration and respect for such a place of profound sadness is truly admirable. I agree as a grandaughter of a fepow I find these videos so disgusting. Zero respect for the thousands that lost their lives. Sadly my grandfather didn't get to eat drunk and smile, he was brutally tortured , starved riddled with disease and forced to work

We absolutely LOVE traveling with you both. It was such an adventure and a memory that will last forever. ❤❤ love you guys and we’re so grateful to share this time with you 😊😊
Great video and content. We will be making the trip in September 2024. Has given us a great insight into what to look forward too. I am curious about how you found flying a drone over there. Have one myself and am keen to get fly drone for some unique footage. Did you have any negative interactions with peopele? I know of all the does and donts and requirements to register. Its more about other people and local authorities that I am interested in as I tried flying drone in Europe and was not a fun experience.
I find this video so disrespectful to the 100's of men who died due to the brutal conditions they were forced to work under whilst in captivity . You make this look like a theme park ride . They were prisoners of war!!! Not labourers !!!
I would advise taking a taxi to the Thonburi station because taking the train will take a lot longer but if you're willing to do that you can go to the bangkok train station and take the train around to Thonburi station. Should be around 7 stops.
This video is very tone deaf and disrespectful. It's not a tourist trap. Over 100,000 people were worked to death (1/3 of the total) to build the railway at the point of a bayonet, while they were emaciated from a lack of food and suffering from malaria and dysentery without medical care. They were not just laborers but allied Prisoners of War. Few survivors could speak about what they went through but those who did described an absolute hell on earth. I recommend watching this BBC documentary: th-cam.com/video/A7e6L1rMsSQ/w-d-xo.html RIP
Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the tone and content of the video, as it was never our intention to come across as disrespectful. We now realize that our choice of music was not appropriate for the serious historical context, and we deeply regret this misstep. We were simply trying to align with our usual style, which tends to be more upbeat and focused on the journey. We understand the significance of this history and will take greater care in the future to ensure we handle such subjects with the respect they deserve.
If you weren't there you wouldn't understand. Everyone was behind the line and the security blew the whistle and Everyone began running to the train. To make it clear I didn't take any seats from anyone I just wanted a specific seat. The only reason why I was being quick was so that I don't get cut off. Other men ( even old men ) were pushing Jade and she didn't get upset because if you were there you would understand.
I am truly shocked and angry at those video, you are making it as a theme park attraction !! Do you have any idea you are visiting a war memorial ? For every track laid a fepow lost there life , appx 1002,000 to 160,000 prisoners of war not labourers lost their lives building your enjoyment today ! The suffering they were put under and the cruel conditions I hope are never witnessed again . This is a site to honour those who paid beyond the ultimate sacrifice for you to be there eating , drinking whilst they were starved and tortured and for you to show not one ounce of respect!! For all the fepow families across the world I say shame on you !! For you to do a follow up video apologising for your disrespect to what is a symbol of the barbaric torture our loved ones went through wouldn't go a miss. But I won't hold my breath
It wasn’t just foreigners running! there were many Thai people doing it as well. Everyone wanted to get to the seats on the left for the best experience and for most foreigners we might only get to experience it once. No one was pushed or hurt. It was just simply excitement for what was to come.
Awesome video!! Loving the drone shots. It was an amazing experience travelling with you guys. Cant wait for the next one.
Thanks man appreciate all the support. It was really fun traveling with you guys😎
Have some respect for the families whose loved ones were forced by brutal torture to build that monstrosity .

That makes sense. I think the ticket price is very affordable and it's actually cheap considering the experience you get from it.
Excellent journey love u guys
Thank you for watching ❤️
I rode this train many years ago and it was the most memorable train ride I’ve ever taken. It’s not just a train ride but a train ride into history.
I am going to visit there next month. Thanks for joyful video.

Did you do any research on the death railway ?
Yes we did, we just didn't talk much about it. Do you think we should incorporate more historical information into our videos?

They were not labourers, they were prisoners of war 😡
Obviously it was slave labor. All slaves were laborers during that time and I did mention the war. I'm sure people can put two and two together.
There was about 200 000 asian " labourers " they were duped into it and definitely weren't prisoners of war
I agree I find this video so distasteful to the men like my grandfather who was forced to work in the most hellish conditions

We went there on a Saturday😁

Day soon to come where there are more filmmakers than filmwatchers...
Well personally for us it's free storage for memories that we can show our kids one day😅 so if that does happen it wouldn't phase us.
