    Evan,
    I really enjoyed your method of showing how to make a Table of Contents. It is nice to make the headings first then flesh the document out after. GOOD JOB. I didn't catch how you moved the table up to the top of the document but I've already learned to move my cursor to the beginning of the document before crating the Table.

    A natural-born teacher. Well done.
    I have run into a real WORD stumper today: The page number in the header is not FULLY at the right margin, though there is no tab set, either. It is about one-inch recessed (toward the left). So far, I can't find any issue that would explain this anomaly. This was a client's document, so I did not set it up. It has normal 1-inch margins (which show correctly when the View/Ruler is turned on) and the number font is in the Normal Style.

    Excellent video Evan. Thank you. I however got stuck in that on the Home tab, the selection of styles on the right where I see 'Heading 1' does NOT show 'Heading 2'. It shows 'Normal', 'Subtitle' and others but not Heading 2 (or 3 or 4 for that matter). How do I generate the 'Heading 2' to click on please? Thank you!

But than i wanted to add some new Chapters and Sections. Each time I try to do this my table of contents changes. By adding a summary of whatever I've written within a chapter or that section. • @ejr1994
      @ejr1994  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +shopwerx Thanks! So with a custom table of contents (TOC), you would use it if you don’t like any of the standard looks. You make the TOC just the same as in the video, but selecting custom allows you to change the look (different organization, using dots between the head and the page number, etc). Hope this helps!

    This is good solution but i dont want page number on right i want it to say 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6 etc and when i click it should go to that page even if "4" is linking to page that is on page 200 i do not want numbered pages so how do i do that after creating this TOC?
