    This video finally made the whole Dyntopo thing make sense. I've been at this thing for close to six hours now and I'm up to 2.1 million faces at this point. I've accidentally sculpted ears, legs, hearts, olympic swimmers, creepy fingers and tons of other stuff. This is hilariously fun! Thank you Grant, you're the best =)

      Grant has a great Blender Beginners guide on Udemy. I took the course and I'm about finished with it. I went from a noob at blender to actually feeling comfortable navigating and making my own artwork. I still learn new tools all the time but I'm getting ever closer to game development. Soon I'll be off to Unreal Engine where I can really make some magic happen.
      Grant I'm glad I picked up your course and I also picked up the unreal course that you do. I can't wait to dive into it.

    Really nice to do such sculpting without any purpose. Kind of meditation. Our brain likes to see in chaos around us something symmetry. Tnx for tut.

    I never really thought about sculpting ornaments. It seemed like a lot of work for a bunch of small details. So instead, I'd work with curves and apply bevel, screw, and array modifiers. Then for small details, I'd use a displacement map. Now that I know how it can be done through sculpting, I want to give it a try. Though I'm curious... What if the object isn't cylindrical? What if it's a fancy clock? What would you suggest for making the task easier?

    Great tips here Grant. The process of where & when to turn off dyno topo has been really confusing to me this month, this short video has helped me understand that. I'll check out the vase sculpt now but in case it isn't there, I noticed on your potion sculpt you shrink wrapping onto your sculpt. is this a way of retopo-ing for uv unwrapping? A tips video on your reasons for it as well as that process would be a great help. Thanks again.

    This looks like a great video but it seems that as soon as I decided to try blender it’s an updated 4.0 and very few of the older videos show the same keys as many of these functions have been moved somewhere else. I’m about to give up as I only have so many days in my life.

    • @grabbitt

    • @salnellen1381
      @salnellen1381 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@grabbitt I watch a lot of blender tutorial videos and they are a great help and basically the functions are the same but for the things I’m trying to do as soon as I get to one pivotal part the key is moved and I have no clue where it is. So that’s a roadblock. By the time I figure out how to do something, I’ve lost my momentum and forget what I did to get to that point in the first place ! Clearly repetition makes me remember these functions but I can never complete a project because of changes. But I wake up every morning and think I’m gonna get it today! I know I’ll figure this out. I want to make 3d printed objects and go further than tinker cad and this is the program for me because it’s free! Thanks for the tutorials. Yours are great because you narrate them and that’s very helpful instead of fast moving videos that only show hot keys on the bottom which is hard to keep up with. I prefer to learn the tabs first before I get fully acquainted with the hot keys. I won’t give up yet!

    In terms of detail level you shouldn't make such dramatic jumps in your detail level. You should work up by like 10 at a time maybe 15-20 if you get into finer details. If you go too high you might crash blender. It's good to ratchet up in increments and make sure everything is the way you want it when you move to a new level of detail.
