This was spot-on helpful! My son had stuck a coin in the CD player and it wouldn't play past track 8 for the last year. Pulled the stereo using a plastic bicycle tire pry tool, then used a small allen's wrench to unscrew the star bolts holding the metal casing of the player for which I didn't have the right tool again. The coin dropped right out and now the CD player works perfectly!! Thanks, Boblizcou
Thank you fir this video!!! Yeah 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤐! My issue started while troubleshooting a Turn Signal Module that went bad a few years ago and had removed all the cover panels to find it hiding up above the Fuse Box. Bad part was I originally took it to a local dealership and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Good part was after many uTube videos, I finally found a few that told me what the fix was. Unfortunately, the radio reception issues started around the same time all the panels were removed and as a Disabled Veteran I wasn’t able to fix for many months. Thankfully, did “ONE” search on uTube and your video was the very first one I viewed…. I was finally able to replace the Turn Signal Module and before I part all the cove panels, “Again,Thanks to your video”, within a few minutes I pulled out the radio and unplugged/ plugged the antenna cable and JOY of Music🎶🎵. 📻😎. Awesome, excellent video!!
Great demonstration you gave on the stereo disassembly. question, all my speakers on my Grand Cherokee have sound except for the right rear speaker. The speaker is good, and so is the wiring. What could be the problem? Someone told me that the stereo has 6 separate circuits, one for each speaker, and that one of them shorted out. Is that true?
What do you charge to fix the displaylight? Everthing else works. 04 jeep grand cherokee with 10 disc cd changer. Actually I guess I have never used the tape or cd play in the radio since I just listen yo CD's. Thanks.

I've got a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the stereo totally died when my car died this winter. I had to have AAA jump my car due to the polar vortex. Car starts but I'm on month 3 without tunes in the car. Wonder how much it would be to get my stereo working again...?

The radio for my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee has no power. I pulled the radio out and the connections are good. I also checked fuses and they seem to be okay. What advise can you give me?
check if you have voltage on the red and black cables on the sterio terminal (need to be on ACC or COntact), if you have power there, may be the on off switch is broken or the internal fuse. This radios are super cheap, so may be if you check that you have pwoer on the terminal buy one used from ebay or junk yard for like 50$ or less. and some included an after marke line in adapt.
The radio unit on my Grand Cherokee (1999) only produces static now. Happened after a visit to mechanic's shop. Have checked fuses, antenna, etc. (but never pulled unit out) and battery has been disconnected numerous times since ... still no radio. Cassette tape plays fine. Any suggestions what to try next to get radio to play again? It's a mystery! Thx...

Just a pry tool. They can be found at most auto part stores and harbor frieght. The plastic tools tend to not mark the dash when prying.
Good info

Merci pour la bonne démonstration de la dépose auto-radio
