Reminds me of a friend who put a light in his rolltop desk, only to discover he had drilled through the desktop while it was retracted while running the wires. Car is looking great, good work.
LOL. Definitely sounds like something I'd do. My brother once drilled a hole in the top of his dog's water jug to get the water to flow out better. It then emptied into the floor.
I’m not a body guy however I am a mechanic. I’m starting to do some body or cosmetic work on my falcon…. That being said why didn’t you just cut the tub from the falcon and USE THAT as the inboard part of your tub ?
Because the inner edge of that stock is not flat and straight at all. It has a very complex contour that would fit very poorly up against a straight frame rail. Thus, the custom tub fits much better. It also features bead rolling that has a cool custom look far superior to that of the stock tub.
i am a subscriber to Tommyefyeah channel on you tube and he has a shop in Connecticut and they restore to factory spec Nissan skyline GTR of any year and the one thing that amazed me was his zinc pile for underhood treatments so i cant wait to see how it works firsthand by watching you screw it up so lets get into it im sure i would mess it up beyond recognition lol

Awesome dude. How many times have I done something only to later realize that I have done it wrong. Best to check EVERYTHING first.

Just stop the window early and let the top of the window shift up a little bit.... problem solved. They used to do this on factory cars.
