Another full trailer, another trip to the Stockton flea market and sell all of the stuff we’ve pulled out of storage lockers lately. We have some good stuff to sell, and that means good sales are incoming, but the thieves are on the prowl and they get the better of us this time… right from under our noses!

The woman who is a regular that is in a scooter gave you her extra key. That is a huge blessing!!
Sorry the key was stolen. At the 12.57 time stamp the key was still in the scooter and at the 16:03 mark the guy in the burgundy shirt appeared to be talking to someone about the scooter saying it cost $500. Then he said $400 and then said "take it for a drive". Is it possible whoever was looking at it at that point might have taken the key whether on purpose or by mistake. Just a thought.

I use to do a flea market here in Australia reselling clothes all my clothes where $3 each and the amount of theft was terrible.. had a person asked I would have given it to them, I get people are doing it hard. But I believe people do it for a thrill !

Jack, I think whoever stole that key thought your $500 price was too high for them and they thought if you didn't have the key you would have to sell it for less. Like possibly that older man that you told him kidding, $299.

It’s nothing to do with me but it upsets me so much that people steal from you with as cheap as you sell stuff, I think maybe someone will ask you to sell them the scooter cheap because there’s no key but they know they stole the key. I get so mad and upset because people take advantage of you and your family, it’s all very sad.🙏😊❤️ God Bless You 😢

Yeah low life move...I would go back and look at who inquired about the scooter and see if that gives you an idea of who may have been the small person, the garbage can too, perhaps they're related.
The sales here charge 8-15 bucks for just the tubs everyone ways loading up free at the end.
Such a bummer when someone steals. The first thing that popped in my head was a little kid not being watched and just took it out. All my best to your family.
People will always steal no matter what precautions you take! Be happy that the key and the trash can is able to be replaced at minimal cost…. Another positive is you will always remember to keep that key or a key in your pocket until you sell it…. I have been it business for 50 years and you can always learn from what people do! $75 for a mattress is dirt cheap..people are amazingly cheap.I bought a mattress recently was 1200.

Sorry to see that theft happened. There are always scavengers among the good people. At my garage sale I was selling a vintage high-end Marantz receiver and someone stole a few small knobs off of it. Unreal why some people do this

I definitely sleep well after a day at the market.
When ever I have something like that I use zip ties to strap it to the unit if I don't want to carry all the keys around with me.

Hello Jack, mom and friend. Looks like you're doing great on selling all of the stuff you've got out at the flea market. You should think about getting a camera set up to watch all of your stuff at the flea market when you can't.
Yeah but then we’d have to watch the camera or else they’d steal that too.
Shout out to mom! Great help. It’s a bittersweet day at Stockton. It reminds me of a story between a father and son on the train. As they rode the rails the father lost one glove out the window. He immediately threw the second one out behind the lost first one. When his son asked why the father replied one glove of no use to anyone. I threw out the second one so that hopefully anyone that finds the first will also find and be able to use the second.
My point is find a way to overcome the sadness and rejoice in the fact you’ve helped so many get what they need and for others that will get what they have coming to them.

So sorry to hear about the hiccups you had this day. It is my reckoning (for what it's worth) that either the guy who approached you first didn't like your $500 offer and took it to spite you, or someone who approached you afterwards, hoping you would have reduced the price without a key (my pick). I laughed when he expected you to lower it more, so you offered it to him for a $1 less! Bless the lady who offered you a key from hers.

Can I offer a suggestion ? At different flea markets that I attend more dealers are adding GoPro or equivalent cameras in their booths for security purposes.

The lessons you are teaching the girls...my 3 kids helped me every summer with the Clark County fair selling logo t shirts and souvenirs...it got in 2 of their souls...my youngest son (45) is a chip off the one block!

And...from approximately 15:04 time stamp the key is with the scooter. At about 18:36 the key is gone.
You can see it missing as you speak with the SF-49 fan. About
3.5 minutes elapsed between when it was there and missing.
If I was a betting man I would go with 49 guy or the lady behind him.
You are honourable. One NEVER, EVER gets poorer by giving someone a break (or a good deal). Also I have exhausted almost all videos from you, stalker and the Pirate so thanks for the tip. I am off to check out global voodoo. I suspect I should be good for a while.

Jack I know you hear it all the time but PLEASE stop flashing that huge wad of money around. Not only can it entice someone to do something crazy to get it from you BUT it can cause someone to have the mindset that you are the “haves” and they are the “have nots” and that gives them (in their mind) justification to steal from you. They see that and think you don’t need the money or you wont miss it and they steal. It’s just not a good practice and it kind of displays a sense of bragging. There is just no reason for it. Put the wad of money away and keep a few bills in your hand for change.
Oh I wished I lived near your sales. I was wondering if the person who stole the key lost theirs and swiped yours to save buying a new one. I can't fathom how they live with themselves. I've driven back numerous times to stores because they gave me too much change or forgot to charge me for an item. I just couldn't although I did get accused once at a sale for not paying for a .25 cup. I told her I did pay but would give her the quarter again to make her feel better. I explained that I would never steal but I don't think she believed me. Oh well God & I knew the truth and that's all that matters. I'm happy you have such a great outlook on things Jack but I totally understand it waking you up at night.

I've found that it is kleptomaniacs that tend to steal strange, small things that render items unsalable/less salable. Had a high school guidance counsellor who used to come into my store and steal oil lamp burners, radio knobs and all sorts of small parts off of items.

12:57 there was a good shot of the scooter, but I can't tell if the key is in it. The only person I saw back there in your video was a guy holding the San Francisco blanket, and he was looking at something on the seat of the scooter and said something to you at 18:36. He's the only one I saw near it but that obviously doesn't mean he took it.

Guaranteed it was just a little kid that took the key. I used to sell at the Phoenix swap meet and anytime I had a tool chest with keys or anything with keys it was always little kids playing with them

That was a low-down move taking the key. Who does that? Maybe they thought they could come back later & get it for $100 or less because it doesn't have a key. ???? Another dumb thief, they don't know you can easily get another one. It's a little bit of a hassle but nothing to lose sleep over. God has blessed you and your loved ones with so much. Dwell on that. I know being human it's easier said than done. That's what the evil one wants us to do. Pray for the person who did it, they might come back & say they realized they had taken the key. Their conscience might get to them, God might get to them. They may have done it accidently, we don't know, so all we can do is pray for them & forget about it. Other than that you had a great day, dwell on that. God bless you & all you loved ones.
