Big difference between garage sales and flea markets. Very different. Especially when someone's moving and they almost give things away at garage sales. Flea markets seller have to pay a fee to sell and are there just to make money.

Mike, I feel you! I came to NRW a few years ago and almost every "flea market" looks like this. Nothing like a real flea market. They just sell new low-quality stuff...like you sad, Temu kind of things. So sad, because I love going to the flea market and I haven't found a great one here.

I used to go with my grandpa to estate sales before he passed away, and you can find some good there to. This flea market might have been a bust, but you make it fun with your humor and commentary. You should get your mom a gift card so she can pick out a new hand bag. IT'S hard to buy something like a hand bag for a woman, so i don't blame you for not getting her one. You could leave it for her to find when you leave for LA as a surprise, because i know you will both be a little sad when you go. I like that your mom understands that you have to live your life, but knows that you will always visit, and get on the zoom to talk to her regularly.
