The radius on that art is narrow, just get a little close and have the person waste their FP. After, you can attack because the activation takes too long and can be interrupted. If you have line of sight honed lighting has like 3x greater distance than that art. That stage has many obstacles which favors the spear so just takes patience.

Very true! Also I found that you can get in and punish much sooner than I initially expected.

That's great to hear! It takes a certain mood to enjoy this kind of gameplay. Sometimes I start invading, run into some ganks, turn the game of and play something more relaxing instead. But the intensity of it can be a lot of fun too :)
