    I remember getting Panzer Zwei on a day when I was suffering from a wicked sore throat; I bought it through eBay. Then I played it and forgot I was sick. Nice video.

      My God! That should've been part of SEGA's marketing campaign. "Panzer Dragoon Zwei on SEGA Saturn. A game so good, you'll forget your dying." LOL! I'm sorry, but that's how I feel whenever I'm sick. Just waiting for pa' to grab the shotgun and take me out back.

    Your videos are so well done. I've been thoroughly impressed with the quality, as well as the passion and enthusiasm that you're able to convey to your audience. The excitement is infectious. You're doing a hell of a job. Keep making videos!

      Thank you very much. I really appreciate it. Trust me, I'm hanging in there. Not letting low view counts deter me...
      But if anyone thinks I need some improvement, please, speak up. I can accept constructive criticism. :)

      Master-Cast TV I think with all things we are passionate about the outside recognition takes time. However, I would say to you that you should realize that your channel is already very good. I've watched just about every video you have and I haven't been disappointed yet.
      Don't stop. In due time, sir. Cheers.

    • @MasterCastTV
      @MasterCastTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Damn! Thanks, man. I think there's always room for improvement. I'd actually to tackle some walk-through videos, maybe do more "articles" where I can just discuss certain topics relating to these consoles and how we perceive 'em. It would be a nice change of pace from all the reviews and occasional "Let's Play" videos.
      Thanks again for the encouragement. You rock!

    • @mrshs4332
      @mrshs4332 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Master-Cast TV I agree. That sounds very intriguing. I hope that you continue to try to strike the balance between the kind of content you want to make, and the kind of content that will set you apart from everyone else. I think you are doing that, and if not, you're definitely headed in the right direction.
      Good luck.

      Thank you very much! It's actually just a compilation. I reviewed each game separately, though I noticed a lot of my viewers liked the big compilation videos more.
      I highly recommend my latest videos for Street Fighter: The Movie, and Flashback. I did both the movie and the Saturn game for SF, and I covered three different ports of Flashback.

    Great idea to bundle the three reviews together. It makes for an epic video.

    • @MasterCastTV
      @MasterCastTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, man! Yeah, I've noticed viewers watch my compilation videos more than the singular reviews, so I thought I should do the same for Panzer Dragoon. The view counts for the Resident Evil compilation is ridiculous. It's like an hour long, yet it has thousands of more views over the singular videos. Weird.

    A very enjoyable and informative video. I literally knew NOTHING of this game, only listening and reading about how Awesome it is over the years. Star Fox is probably my favorite SNES game, so it definitely got MY interest. I hope to play it some day.

      @MasterCastTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, man! To be honest, I actually like Star Fox quite a bit. Like you, it's a favorite for the platform. I especially love Star Fox 64. The frame-rate can give me a headache at times. Otherwise, it's awesome. Still need to play Star Fox 2 on the mini.
      Panzer Dragoon is reason enough to own a Saturn for me. The sequels? Even better. It may be a perfect trilogy.

    Considering how seemingly intense this game is, I wouldn't be surprised if each level were 10s of megabytes. Microsoft started doing that on a regular basis for their Xbox games so this graphical space consumption is kind of ahead of it's time.

    The fact that Panzer-Dragoon has a orchastrated soundtrack is incredible and the graphics are good.

      Absolutely! All three games are amazing, and it's a shame more players can't really enjoy them any other way. Honestly, I can't imagine playing any one of these games on another platform, though I'm sure the audience of today would love 'em on PS4, XBLA or Switch.

    I love the series. Especially the first game. Love the intro, atmosphere, music, art direction, graphics and difficult, but simple gameplay. Part 2 has very ugly dragons in my opinion. Most people seem to think it is better, but I think it is worse than the first. Really like Saga too, but I do think the evironments are quite sparse (it feels a but rushed). Didn't care as much for Orta. The Xbox One spiritual successor wasn't bad at all!

      Oh, I know. It's a cherished gift I assure you. Sorry for the repeat. Really, it's just my three older videos edited into one. I've some folks want just one video that covers everything, like my Resident Evil on SEGA platforms video. It's like 40 minutes, but more people watch that the the individual videos. So strange.
      I'm glad you dig the channel. Currently working on a Star Wars Arcade review, as well a separate "tactics" video. I finally beat it, so I'm gonna' share the raw footage and provide some tips.

      Master-Cast TV i havdnt seen your 32x review yet. Im pretty new to your channel. Im into the 32x. Picked up a CIB 32x with a model 2 gen and doom and star wars for $100 have you done any vids on the master system? If not could you do some videos on it?

      NICE! I still have the box for mine, though it had been played previously.
      I actually have a 32X playlist. Think I've done 11 videos so far. 32Xpensive covers T-Mek, Web of Fire, and DarXide. Shadow Squadron and Motherbase 2000 are favorites of mine. If you wanna' see my original reviews for Star Wars Arcade and Doom, they're in the 32X hardware video.
      Also have a Master System playlist. I've done a lot of licensed games (Ghostbusters, Alien 3, Batman Returns, and The Terminator), as well as Master of Darkness.

    This is a great review, got me to pick these up (the only ones I’d played before was Orta and the original since it unlocked once you beat the former) and now this is one of my favorites in SEGA’s lineup, as well as just in general. Also that part about not giving away the story in a TH-cam video gave me a good laugh.

    Panzer Dragoon 1+2 are very easy and incredibly short...its only shortcoming in my opinion. Now Panzer Dragoon Saga...oh, my what an amazing epic that hardly anyone got a chance to play.

  • @Sinn0100
    @Sinn0100 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Wait...incomplete hardware? At any rate, Panzer Dragoon is a class in master class of 32-bit game design. They took the Star Fox formula too the next level. Consequently, I picked up my Sega Saturn the same day I got a launch PlayStation. I intended on buying both when they dropped but Sega and their damn surprise release really screwed me. I flat didn't have enough money saved up yet.
    Panzer Dragoon and...I think Rogotica were the first two games I grabbed for my Saturn. One was a mediocre FPS while the other was Panzer Dragoon. What's funny is I didn't even open my PlayStation until I saw the credits for Panzer Dragoon first. You better believe I bought the second the day it hit store shelves and I did the same for Panzer Dragon Saga. What's interesting about that and a bit sad was Saga released in such small numbers (we knew it before its release) that it was the very first game I preordered. The one regret I have was missing a chance to buy a second copy that day. A guy...I guess decided he didn't want his preorder and EB Games (remember those) gave me the chance to snag it. I thought the idea was stupid, why would I want two copies of a game?! Now who feels like the idiot? This guy right here. I can't remember if this was my last new Saturn title I picked up or was it Burning Rangers? Whichever one released last (can't remember) was my final new Saturn purchase.

    • @LittleBigKid707b
      @LittleBigKid707b 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're lucky you got to experience the Saturn when it was new. I was team Sony and thought the Saturn was lame. I did pick one up around 2005 and slowly fell in love with it. Happy I bought most of the games I want years ago. IMO, the best console for shoot em ups, which I love and some amazing racing game. Also, I like Sega's offbeat games they introduced on the system. Still play my Saturn regularly. Thanks for sharing your story, BTW. It was a nice read.

    Been kind'a hoping you would cover the Panzer games. I'm still yet to play Saga although I've had it for years. Really enjoy the rail shooting of the first two games so not sure how I'll get on with the RPG playing of the third. However I have not heard one person that's played it say a bad word about it, all they ever say is "Play it! .. Play it now!".
    Really enjoyed the review/s, great insight into a great series.

    • @MasterCastTV
      @MasterCastTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I covered the first two a couple years ago. I re-issued a re-edited version of my old MLWS video for Saga, since I couldn't think of another way to praise the game. Hahaha!
      I've actually heard many complaints toward Saga. The top three have been, "It's way too short." "The story's kinda' weak." "Feels kinda' shallow only playing as one character." Believe me, they're out there.

    • @MasterCastTV

      I'm sad to say 'no'. I don't have a classic Xbox. Not anymore. Had one of the later revisions that made it difficult to play some games, specifically SEGA games. Not knowing this at the time, I sold it along with the games. Didn't really like the Xbox anyway, so it was no great hardship. Still, a part of me still wants to play Orta.

    Here's what I don't understand...Sega lost the source code but couldn't they dump the game from a retail version and pick it apart? Further, if they can make a Saturn emulator (they can now) why can't they drop it onto XBLA or the PSN? I know one of the biggest issues with Saturn emulation was the complexity of the hardware. Thankfully, with the Series X and PS5 they now have more than enough to brute force the Hell out of it. They could easily take each one of the Ryzen 2 cores (8) and assign them to a processor. The GPU shouldn't be an issue either...I mean, the Series X is basically an RTX 2080TI Super with 54Cu's. They could probably run the entire Saturn from the GPU without any loss of frame rate in 4K! Just as long as they don't go mucking with it...everything will be fine. ;)

      What?! Panzer Dragoon Saga did not bomb big time. It was released in extremely limited quantities here in the states. It sold exceptionally well in Japan and is extremely cheap to own right now (Japanese version). The game has a huge cult following behind it.
      Retro gaming is white hot right now and millions are clamoring for more. Consoles that were abysmal failures when they were brand new have made a serious comback. Look at the PC Engine/TG-16/Core Grafx Mini that Konami released last year. It sold incredibly well far outpacing the Genesis Mini by quite a huge margin. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Guardian Heroes and Radiant Silvergun have done exceedingly well on live. So well that they're still available for purchase on the Series X (they started on the 360).
