Pat Valentino was a great guy! My dad became friends with him at a pub in Nevada in the '90s, my brothers and I used to see old Pat (as we called him) often. Although old Pat didn't win, he gave as good as he got and proved he was a champion.
Great colourization. Valentino took a lot of punishment in this fight, and sadly would lose the sight in one of his eyes despite having surgery. More people should be viewing the great Ezzard Charles on your channel.
It looked like Charles carried this boy for a few rounds. I think he could have gotten him out a LOT earlier if he’d gone after him more. Valentino was wide open all night.
