  • Does it make a difference!? Watch to find out.
Transmission fluid should be changed every 50,000 - 100,000 kms, but if your shifts feel a little rough I recommend starting with this as it's cheap and easy to do.

I would stick to MTF. Dealers are a bit awk to visit, but you will get used to it. The drain washer and plug is the same as oil, so uses same crush washer -- and if you want to get magnetic plugs they are the same size too. I suggest just ordering a bunch of washers from ebay or amayama when you do an order - then you dont have to worry about them.

I've tried a few times with dealers (most recent was trying to source OEM gaskets) but they were a hassle - I'll give them another chance when I need it next I guess. As for the crush washers I ordered a bunch of em off eBay for oil changes which is what I used for the drain, only was missing a washer for the fill plug which is a lot larger. Thanks for the tips man, and cheers for watching the video!

@@gutterrashautomotive3361 you probably already know.. but Amayama is good for parts, and you can use the online catalogue of oemacuraparts etc to get part numbers too.

Thanks for the video, can you tell me how far the pump needs to be pushed into the filler hole (is it a snug fit)? Also the crush washer, is it metal cos i used these type for the sump plugs, on my other cars and they seem to allow for tightenning up better than metal.
