Hi Erwin, I did message you on Twitter just to see that you were ok with me mentioning you!! I'm glad you like it! Feel free to send me any workings next year, I loved rigging up a great animatic into a full working board...it was fun! All the best, David
Damnn dude your editing skills are God level, and the information and hard work you put in, it's very appreciated...how did I not find your channel before? Great work! Keep it up!
Cheers! Interesting how close place 10 to 15 are to each other, actually. Not only points wise, but also in terms of national jury rankings. Also the power of one juror alone is quite striking. A quick example: one very German and very experienced juror voted Austria down, otherwise Austria would have made Germany's top 3 and thus the overall top 10 (+5) instead of Czechia (-1). That's just one example, I'm sure there are dozens of similar close races hidden in this fabulous scoreboard!
Yes it was quite close and as I said in the description I think it'll go down as one of the great Eurovision duals! I decided to give the points out in the order of the juries in the programme, but I kinda wanted to see if there was a way where Finland occasionally topped the board...it all seemed a bit hard to work out...the lead of around 50 points seemed quite stubborn!!
@@thereorderboardI was hoping for the same, a glimpse into what could've been if there was a different way of announcing them. But no 😂, just read the description of the vid. Always a fav part of the videos, good to hear Liverpool truly embraced Eurovision! 🎉
I'm sure I commented on this on first release but as ever, such fantastic work! Of course the fluidity, animation and clear breakdown of data down to a T, all a pleasure to watch. And even more so being done in web graphics which kinda blows my mind a little bit! I remember you did a fab breakdown of a scoreboard build in Viz in a previous video; not sure if you would but I reckon it'd be great to see a breakdown of how you did this within a browser as mentioned! I can't help thinking some parts were pre-prepared in say AE and then duplicated/replicated as per in code, but would be massively impressed if every single bit was done in JS! And, if like Viz, how it works re triggering each section working with the data - or if it was a case of scripting out how you'd like it to work then hitting 'play' and letting it do its thing. Infact, I've seen how its like your previous GF data board of 2022, where it entry counts down from 26th to its position to equal its corresponding points which is really nice; giving an extra bit of context reminding viewers the 1-10&12 meaning. EDIT: Loving the attn to detail - just seen how when a country is last (i.e 26th of 26), it has a flash of red over its position - honestly brilliant stuff! Mindblowing work both visually and technically, loving geeking out over this!
So good to see that Germany wasn’t THAT underappreciated… several times they where between 10th and 15th, even sometimes with the jury 🤩, I just wished we had a voting system where everyone gets points 25 to 0 e.g. Then the bottom half of the board would be so much more accurate 🙏🏻
Hi! Thanks for your comment. For the first time for this channel, this is made entirely within a browser. So all you need is a web browser and a text editor (like Visual Studio Code) and a lot of TH-cam 'how to' videos!
@@thereorderboard Thank you for your answer! It sure sounds like a lot of work. It looks like you put a lot of effort into your videos and I truly appreciate that. Keep up the good work!🙂
It's actually interesting seeing how badly the UK ranked this year, once again coming last with a lot of public vote sets.. It's sad to see the Sam Ryder may have been a one off for the BBC & Eurovision.. I do remain hopeful, but looking at this only dampens that hope
Hopefully we'll have somebody next year who won't let nerves get the better of them: Mae's performance in both the Jury Final and Live Final weren't great.
It looks good. Remind us of the old format. Question - any chance if you could do a reverse announcement with the current format? Audience 12 points scores from each countries and add the total judges scores from the least to the most.
Fantastic work. It was fascinating to see all the 11th places, I think France got the most in that area. What would have been the final 'pure' score, if 25 points down to 1 had been awarded in each of the 75 votes?
Actually it's interesting case. I think Kaarja attracted a certain audience that usually doesn't watch Eurovision. It made finnish voting unique and shows to us that ESC auditory lives in bubble 😄
I'd like to semi-final videos but unfortunately they've not made all the rankings available. I'm sort of waiting for that to happen - if they don't within a month, I'll make them but they'll just have points awarded than full rankings. :-)
@@thereorderboard interesting! Is it common for them to release the results that much later? I think if we haven't got them now, we probably won't get them at all, which sucks cause I kinda demand the transparency lol. And I wanna know if they might have been borderline qualifiers in some countries. The official results say San Marino finished 15th and Romania 16th in the semi final, even though they got both 0 and toe breaker rules would put Romania first, since they performed earlier. But since SM is higher, i wonder if that's because their average ranking was higher than Romania's, but still not as high to get any points.
@@arvinroidoatienza7082 Zero points. Malta only got a total of 3 points: 2 from Israel, and 1 from the Rest of the World. Malta was dead last in semi final 1.
The real battle was over the 3rd place. Also, not a single country televote gave Sweden 12 points. Not a smooth win, despite the ridiculous jury votes and seemingly landslide.
I would prefer if they switched the format of the voting sequence so that both sets of results were given by the spokespersons on TV personally , and this year's result is an excellent example - the juries didn't always like kaarija but they did Loreen - so she was always out of reach. But it would have been worth watching and the race wouldn't have been called until very late on. Was expecting much even set of results rather than a landslide especially with the jury as there were very few poor songs and plenty of good ones - four of them in the UK Top 10 single charts says a lot to that (only one being Mae Muller the home entrant).
This looks so good it's hard to believe it was not made by BBC
Me too 😂 I was really shocked after seeing this ❤

Pretty sure whoever runs this account is a professional graphic artist and this is just their hobby

each of Norway, Sweden and Finland received 20 points from Denmark iconic😂❤
Thank you! Nice way of seeing the points coming in, the landslide jury made a bit of a warped impression but it really was close!

It did - I thought Loreen would absolutely smash it after the 8th jury call but the audience made it a much closer ran thing than I'd imagined.
Seeing this from France is so frustrating 🤣 We came 11th-13th almost everywhere
This is how the voting SHOULD be carried out! Keep it up! 🤩
I like how it shows the country name in Ukrainian during the glitch effect. Nice detail!
If only we could watch it like this live! Great work! 😊👍
Congratulations, such an amazing job. You're a freaking scoreboard/eurovision data rock star!
I always look forward to you posting

If they want to for some reason change the way the results are announced (not that they should since it's pretty perfect now) then they could do this

@@DitzyNizzy2009 I don't think Mae as an artist was suited for Eurovision sadly although the song was fairly good so I had it in my top ten (8th)
Yeah she couldn’t really sing that well and the camera angles were yikes

Ukraine is 24th in Serbian televoting
Israel is 17th in Swedish televoting 🤯
It is still funny, that Finnish voters tactically voted 0 points for our dear neighbour Sweden

Dang I wish they released more details on the rest of the world voting results
Can you do one for 2021? And with the Dutch language involved, too, like all the other boards?
It's amazing, how did you do that?

A qustion that's not about ESC 2023 but where are the video's of 1987, 1988 and 1989 if I may ask?
I can see them well here in the US. They could simply be blocked in your country.
Will you release other years such as 2003 re done?
Australia 🇦🇺 good 👍🏻 song 🎵
Will you do the semi finals?
When will we see part Trois of the eurovision reorderboard?
may I ask how do you know each place the jury and televote ranked every country attributed ?
This information is available on eurovision.tv
5:59 - Bloody hell, the Finnish public certainly tried their best to ensure victory: only 12 points to the Top Six?
I don’t blame them… I myself wouldn’t have put four of the top 6 anywhere near the top of the scoreboard!
Actually it's interesting case. I think Kaarja attracted a certain audience that usually doesn't watch Eurovision. It made finnish voting unique and shows to us that ESC auditory lives in bubble 😄
Is it possible to see the detailed results of the semi finals? Romania and San Marino both got 0, but I wonder how they placed exactly.
