Forgot to mention cleaning MAP/MAF sensor (which I also did before changing Oxygen sensors) As I said the O2 sensor did make difference but didn't last long so problem was leaky injectors. (I tried using premium gas for some time but it did not help so had to replace fuel injectors)
@@312Drive is there any symptom of car that has leaky injectors? my car so hard to start , like need to try 2-3 times to crank until it's running. and also have P2178 system too rich
Good info, thanks. I have a 2011 Sonota, 4 cylinder, 170,000 miles.. Car has been well maintained by previous owner. A month after buying it I got the 2188, may be why person sold it. Changed spark plugs with spec plugs, and installed new Walker 02 sensors from Rock Auto. Changed oil, air filter, MAP sensor and a check valve. And OEM gas cap, mine was not clicking and was the original. All helped the car run better , but did not solve the problem. And all those items are not expensive and are basically wear items and I did myself, so using the parts cannon method is not that expensive I am going to do a more careful inspection of the air intake and look for any cracks or leaks. I did not take out the purge valve solenoid, but will try to test that. I think if I cap off the line after that goes out of the solenoid and the fuel trim is OK that indicates a bad solenoid and or leak, so unmetered air is getting in. Any comments on this theory, And I may just take another part cannon guess and replace the fuel injectors. A mechanic told the high pressure fuel pumps and overwhelm old fuel injectors. And he said the high pressure pumps go bad and can cause this problem. But that is an expensive part, and I don't think buying a junkyard one with 100,000 + miles is a good option. So we shall see, and will update as I go.
@@davidwoods607 I would guarantee it is. I have the exact same Endoscope for looking at my combustion chamber/cylinders and it functions just like that, you can even record video with it and that’s how he got the shot of his cylinders in the video.

@@312Drive so what was the problem?

@@lalakutila7036 I removed all spark plugs and check the pistons with an endoscope camera, and 2 were leaky in my case..

yeah, don't throw parts. do pressure test, and air leak test with smoke machine
Are those pictures of the cylinder the actual ones? They are so clear.
