You need to update this it does not work without internet over 10 different TH-cam reviews and many articles on the internet show it breaks as soon as you block or stop it’s internet access
For what the sensor actually does, it’s amazing. The only thing thats kind of bugging me out is why can’t I have it HomeKit to TURN OFF the lights IF it doesn’t detection motion in a specific zone for 2 mins (or any other time interval)? I’ve tried shortcuts as well. Has anyone else been success with this?
Before I got done reading your comment all the way, I was thinking shortcut is the answer? It wouldn’t work that way for you? I haven’t tried to play around with it in Shortcuts yet. May have to dive into that later tonight
First you want to put the wall mounted iPad into Guided Access mode on the Apple Home app and then using the Aqara P1 in the general area of the iPad you can set it up to send a push notification when it detects motion. You’ll want to turn notifications for that event off on all your other devices(iPhone, Other iPads). And since the iPad is locked in guided access mode you won’t see the notification come across the screen, only wake it up and turn the screen on!
I have one waiting for me to pick up tomorrow at an Amazon Locker. While I'm putting the first one in my basement OFFICE, I also want to see how it'll work OUTDOORS in conjunction with my WILDLIFE CAMERAS (Wyze & Ring).
@@CScott4k I've tried it ceiling mounted and wall mounted. It works quite well in my office, but it wouldn't have the RANGE needed to detect people or animals outdoors. Initial setup was easy, but after getting an initial measurement of room borders, I'm hard pressed to initiate a "do-over."

How does it work through walls? Can one sensor handle multiple rooms?
It can, but it’s not great and hardly accurate. I wouldn’t recommend it for any precise automations
Amazon says "Currently Unavailable" and I can't figure out where I can get one!
