I found a scale called Purvi Theta. It's the double harmonic major scale but with a sharpened 4th. E, F, G#, A#, B, C, D#. I love it. Some major scales actually sound great for black metal.
I also really like locrian, but instead of starting with an ugly diminished 5th chord I start with a different dyad, like a minor 3rd, a perfect 4th, a minor 7th, or two of the same note an octave apart. If you use it like that it sounds really tense in a good way.

An extra scale and an arpeggio:
Locrian mode: one of the most evil scales, it's like phrygian but with a b5, the intervals are: r, b2, b3, 4, b5, b6, b7.
In the key of E would be:
E, F, G, A, A#, C, D.
Diminished 7th arpeggio: the notes of a diminished 7th chord, very dark and works well with the superlocrian(diminished here) scale, each note is apart for 1 1/2 step(3 frets); in the key of E would be: E, G, A#, C#
Intervals:
R, b3, b5, bb7 (is a M6)
