Imo had he not have that chronic fatigue disease, we would have been talking about him being the GOAT, and not Marquez vs Rossi.
How the hell did he dominate the 2007 season with that Ducati, I don't see any other explanation. Marquez and Rossi struggled with bad bikes, but Stoner simply finds another gear even with bad bikes.

    Great video.
Thankyou so much for your effort.
Love seeing pics of him with Simo, Ped,Lor, Ros, Nicky, and MM.
Stoner is a great rider, with respect from all other riders.
He lives 5mins up the road from me, and was born in the hospital my mum died.
One day I'll meet him , I hope.

Not sure this proceeds or not, but I read somewhere that one of the reasons for Stoner deciding on an early retirement, was Marco Simoncelli's extremely violent and traumatic death in 2011.

    • @ccrider8483

What a waste of time video. Several mistakes in there.
    - Stoner didn't ride a KTM in the 250ccs, but in the 125ccs in 2004
    - He finished 2nd in the 250ccs in 2005, not third
    - His podium in 2006 came in Turkey, not Valencia
Probably more mistakes in the latter 9 minutes of this 14 minute masterpiece.

Stoner and Marquez are two greats of MotoGP, I wouldn't place anyone above them. But I will give Marquez 100/100 and Stoner 97/100 (1+ for skills and 2+ for mentality) because Marquez is mentally tough rider, Rossi and his fans try to dismantle both Marquez and Stoner but you should see how Marquez dealt with that and Stoner felt on that.

Dumping Stoner to its satelite team LCR was the biggest mistake Honda made. Had Honda choosen Stoner as their new Prince not Pedrosa (in all respect to him), Rossi run of domination would have ended sooner. Marquez is definitely the right man to fill his shoes.

    • @vmax4steve524
      @vmax4steve524 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

There was a tyre war in the background of motogp in that era. At LCR Honda Stoner got second rate michelins compared to the Repsol factory team, at Ducati Bridgestone supplied tyres that the bike needed and won the title. Dorna, the corporation that owned the series, didn't like the fact that their poster boy Rossi got beat and bought out his michelin contract and negotiated a personal contract for him with Bridgestone that gave him number one status.
Even when Bridgestone had the control tyre contract Rossi had the personal contract until Yamaha signed Lorenzo who insisted on equal status with Rossi and that's when the wall went up in the Yamaha garage.

I love a lot of todersfrom kenny robertsfreddoespencer eddie lawson to modern day guys. But mick doohan in primevwas the fastest on 2 stroke total analog 4 cyl 200hp monster. In his prime todays bikes would be a breeze for his skills. Todays riders would die racing the old smokers no computers as they never learned the fine knife edge skills it took to survive at race speeds.
