Dollar Store Makeover - Haunted House Edition

- I did a dollar store makeover, basically just tried painting on things from the dollar store. I made some pretty EVIL characters using dollar store items, just some cheap diys that ended up looking pretty chaotic. It’s hard figuring out what to do with things you can find at the dollar store, it wasn’t easy coming up with customizing ideas- it was kinda like a no budget dollar store challenge. I hope you guys like my dollar tree haul and my attempt at customizing things.

Just watch the feathers in the toys. Our choked and had to be rushed to the vet. The vet said the hard part of the feathers can puncture inside the kitty.

The house turned out great! That being said I think adding random bits of brown would make it look more old.
That or doing a dry brush or wash of grey to highlight the details a bit. Love it though.

I made a Dollar Tree haunted house a week or two ago! I used all Dollar Tree items. I painted it black, then glued the base to a small serving tray. Then added fake grass to give it a yard. I glued rocks and put my scary people on them. Added a tea light candle to the back. It was super simple, but looks good. ☺️

What type of paint did you use, im worried it would chip off easy with painting on plastic
@@ivoryhenson1285 spray paint . And acrylic paint. Chalk paint! Let completely dry lol

Just incase you were wondering, your cat appears to be a Tuxedo cat! They’re considered to be lucky in most cultures! They were worshipped in Egypt as Gods, and they’re considered lucky! Shakespeare owned a Tuxedo cat as well! My brother next door has one. They’re very playful!

I got so lucky. I've been to a couple dollar stores myself, I only found em at one of the dollar trees, buried in the toy section. I took em all, cleared out their whole squishy collection 😂

The 'marbles' aren't marbles they are glass pebbles They are used in flower arrangements or as pot toppings so you can't see the soil

Sniffles looks just like my cat, but she has the whole milk mustache 🤣 I’ve done this project before in elementary school w a pic of little me for Mother’s Day. She has it to this day! So yeah the magnets last a long time lol
