- I went to Five Below and found some cheap things to customize & paint on. I like customizing things and turning them EVIL, it's kind of my thing. In fact I have quite a few series where I do some cheap days that end up looking pretty chaotic. Other makeover series that I do include Dollar Store Makeovers, Thrift Store Makeovers, Doll Makeovers, Squishy Makeovers, etc. I've never done a makeover from stuff from 5 Below but I thought it would be fun to try. I hope you like what I made!

I really like Slappy the Sloth though and you should make more outfits. He and Sprinkles can have a costume teaparty together
The last tea party I threw didn't exactly go as planned. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that level of ungratefulness again quite yet. Though I do really love the name "Slappy the Sloth" 😂

Fun fact:
Bobo is an actual demon in slavic mythology. It was literally scaring children all night.
And the parents were scaring children with it so they would not be noughty even in the present days sometimes. (Done that to cousin so she would stop trying to touch the furnace)

The Tutu Witch Sloth is now my most favorite thing that you’ve made! The immediate serotonin that I received was insane, I have a plush sloth too and now I’m thinking about making him some clothes! Would you consider making more outfits with this method again or trying new ones as well? I really liked the simplicity and execution of it all!

Lol my fiancé did wear space buns when she was a toddler, very similar to my neighbor, the screaming toddler with spacebuns. Though many years have passed since that fashion faux pas 😂

The laptop tray looks amazing, I can’t believe it’s been a year since Honey & Booboo were created. The sloth ended up looking really cute, like he was dressing up for Halloween.
Man I’ve watched him for like 5 months and I’m honestly so surprised that he only has 96 thousand, the editing is so enjoying and entertaining. Then the artwork itself is so different yet so entertaining and such an amazing art style . He honestly deserves more then what he gets . I wish you the best man .

Have you considered using spray primer? I wince watching you paint some items when you could get better, more even coverage from a rattle can. Try Mr. Surfacer (Hobby Lobby) or Tamiya Primer or something similar.

Hey, GraveDolleyYard Loon... Happy new year!
Get yourself some good quality chalk paint. Scuffing any surface with 220 grit sandpaper and the paint will stick. And the brand I use can also be used as dye too. It’s very pigmented and probably less expensive than Posca on larger surfaces. I always wondered if you add fabric medium would it work on the squishes. It’s painful to see how translucent the paint you use for your makeovers is. But hey I’m not a squishie expert, just wondered if it would help save you some time and cut down on the many layers those toys/creatures need to get full coverage.
You could always dye your plushie. That’s not messy at all. 😁
I use Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint.
