Vegetable Porridge and Rice in One Pot! by Chef Jia Choi | Simple and Easy Recipe

  • Making rice and porridge at the same time in an electric rice cooker is a great method that can efficiently solve two meals. Just because it’s easy to make, doesn’t mean it’s less tasty. You can expect great results with little effort.

    Vegetable Porridge and Rice
    Ingredients
    1 cup white rice (short grain), for steamed rice
    2 cups water, for steamed rice
    3 tablespoons white rice, for porridge
    1 cup(250 ml) or 270 ml water (about 6 times the amount of rice)
    - For risotto consistency add 250 ml, and for thinner version add 270 ml of water
    3 tablespoons chopped vegetables (mushroom, carrot, zucchini)
    Instructions
    1. Rinse rice for about 3 times. Drain.
    2. In a pot, combine 2 cups of drained, white rice with 2 cups of water
    3. In a heat safe cup or bowl, add 3 tablespoons of rice and 1 cup of water.
    4. Set aside the rice and the porridge for about 30 minutes.
    5. Meanwhile, chop carrot, the zucchini, and the mushroom. Add the vegetables to the porridge.
    6. Press the white rice cook button.

      네, 저도 집에서 자주 해먹는 레시피에요. 밥이랑 죽을 같이 만들 때엔 쌀이랑 죽에 물을 붓고 30분에서 한시간즘 뒀다가 취사 누르면 좋아요^^

    Good morning and thanks for the wonderful recipe. I wanted to propose a different idea, perhaps for an upcoming video: why don't you explain how a daily Korean meal is usually composed?
    What is usually eaten, how many banchans are served ..
    I apologize if my English is not good, but it is my fourth language and I speak little. I hope it can be a good starting point.
