This has become like my favourite GDQ run ever
Best run I've ever seen. I love the whole commentary so much! Very informative while don't getting dry at all. And of course the fun you guys made AND clearly had. I always love runs where the runner and the couch just having fun and joking around. The crowd gets usually more involved in those runs and commentaries and that also brings a really great atmosphere with it.
Only run that came close to this amount of fun was the Super Mario Odyssey run by Bayleef @AGDQ2019 which also was just a fun run.

Goes to show that the game is still fairly new and there is a lot of wiggle room in those records.
this game is quite hard to do bad on tho it kinda forces you to speed through it (if you are used to grinding on red/blue/fire red/ leaf green) with a team you like (not an op team on purpose)

I just love all it took to get a casual $4k in the pool for charity in one donation read was to deny the Eevee some pets.

I was the one who put the donation in for the team rocket voices, I honestly wasn’t expecting the voice too, and I was getting ready for work when I heard the donation and excited cause it was the first donation I put it that got aired and those voices, the announcer did,.

I'm 30 minutes in and this is already the highlight of the marathon VODs for me. Great banter from the couch, all the stuff with Onyx in Mt Moon was cracking me up.

Actually, from what I've remembered, the second version was originally going to be Psyduck, but they changed it to Eevee because Psyduck and Pikachu are both Yellow.

This run and Keizaron's Crystal run were some of my favorites of the entire event. The couches were great and also the donation trains they started were awesome!

Funnily enough I actually named my Rival 'Dio' in my Let's Go game, short for 'Dicks Oak' before I knew Blue was still cruising around elsewhere.

In my first playthrough of LGE, I found a shiny Rattata in the room *right before* the one with that Raticate.

This was the funnest run I saw so far this year. I love when the audience gets involved in a constructive way. The donation trains were hilarious.

That's across the board, the game for some reason will always say "you used X" when your opponent uses an item.

Great run, really fun couch interactions. Funny how when he metioned catching the Mewtwo in the Snorlax fight, my mind jumped to 20 years ago. Where I gold my friend with Pokémon Blue I wasted his masterball, and he spend 4 days catching a 1 pixel health Mewtwo. Good Pokémon memories

This was great! Haven't played this game yet (no Switch) but this is what I dreamed of seeing someday as a little kid playing Gen 1.
Would love to see a run where two players do a coordinated run where one's on Pikachu, the other's on Eevee, and they are running to both get 100% pokedex completion. Would love to see how, version-exclusive pokemon aside, they choose to split up the rest of the pokedex and the thought behind their routing.

So I usually like learning useful mechanics and such before I ever play a game, but preferably not through videos that show story progress. Shiny hunting and general grinding are great sources for that so I was gonna click off after a little bit. That said, this turned out to be one of the most enjoyable speedruns I've ever watched and it was full of incredibly useful info right at the beginning. Once I finally get a Switch, this will be the first game I play and it'll be far more fun to play through because of this speedrun tbh. Loved it! Thanks to the runner and the couch for a great time.
