Everyone's mentioning the "Thank You"s, but what's funniest to me is the audible gasp at 1:14:30. He's played this game an unknowable amount of times, but the game still found a way to surprise him.
Pheenoh is the nicest runner I've seen I really like his runs he does a great job explaining what's goin on imo

The kindness constantly coming from Pheenoh, his exceptional execution, the length of the video, the quality of the game and its music, just everything is so wonderful. Haha, the same thing happened to me. When I picked up the game again several years ago, experiencing anything past Ordon was sorta surreal.
for me it took me like 5 min, but I can understand that part being difficult. What it took me so long was finding the parts of the triforce for the first time in Wind Waker, never feel so frustrated.
I didn't have trouble with that, but I did have trouble at the prison cell in the first trip to Twilight. Couldn't figure out you had to dig out. Literally searched the jail cell for an hour before figuring it out and feeling like an idiot.

Oh the memories! I’ve been watching a bunch of zelda GDQ runs lately and this run fills me with the most nostalgia. I’d have to say TP is my favourite zelda game.
TP was my childhood game, I got it on the Wii when it came out on the Wii when I was 6, and I ended up beating it when I was 11. It took me exactly 128 hours over a course of 5 years to beat the game as a carefree kid, and seeing it so brutally destroyed makes me twitch in the best way.
Same here. Minus the 128 hours, I don’t actually know how many hours but it was a lot.
TP is like a late birthday present to me, it was my favorite game ever and it still is, I heard about it when my dad was playing it, and then I asked to play it, and I was around 4 years old, I could never read anything, so I asked my dad to translate a lot, and I sill haven’t beat it XD
Hey I have pretty much the exact same experience! Started playing before I knew how to read. Probably spent 2 years in ordon alone. Then when I was older ended up making it to the water temple like 3 times and getting stuck. Finally ended up getting it on GameCube and beat it when I was 10. I've beat it a couple times on wii as well now. I'll never play another game that will shape my life the way TP has.

God I love this game. Easily the best story, storytelling, and world building in the series. Breath of the Wild's gameplay was good, but the story left MUCH to be desired.

I think you misspelled "Wind Waker"
The story is excellent, IMO, but in terms of world building, Breath of the Wild is matched by NO other game in the franchise. That being said, TP definitely has the best looking dungeons, and with the most interesting mechanics and items. I do wish we got a bit more story surrounding the different areas in the game, particularly the actual function of the dungeons. OoT and Skyward Sword have the best dungeon stories.

The best part of Twilight Princess for me is not the look or gameplay but the sound. Its so distinctive and unique to the game and is so nostalgic.

Something I discovered while riding Epona in the HD game is that if you use the right control stick (the one you use to move the camera) to steer, it is way easier. I don't know if this is commom knowledge or not, though...

That must be what happened to me on my first ever playthrough of TP! He was saying if you hookshot Argarok too fast at the start of the first you can softlock. I softlocked in that fight and was just hanging onto the tail, unable to do anything with the boss just flying around for a few minute before I just restarted the system.

I don't understand why, I mean no offense and all that it. But Twilight Princess is quite old at this point and is already on three different consoles. A virtual console, sure. I can understand that. But not an actual port with the CD and what not.
If i recall correctly, it came out on the same time on Wii and Gamecube, if not a year later, then ported to WiiU

I seem to remember that it was one of the last big releases for the Gamecube and came out so late in that console's "lifespan" that many people were concerned that it wasn't going to be released on the Gamecube at all.
I remember the boss key skip for Morpheel being a lot more dangerous in SD---you had to climb up some vines and get a bomb to explode you out of bounds, but not too far or you'd end up softlocking the game. Glad y'all found something safer!

I got stuck on the water temple the first time I played this. I ended up giving up on the game for about a year before finally beating it XD

Alright I have a general knowledge of this game to the point where I could run through the game without getting stuck too often. Assuming I didn't go for a ton of extra stuff, what's a rough estimate of how long the play through would take? Oot took me about 10 hours for one full playthrough (Without getting alot of side stuff) Can Tp be beaten near this time without using crazy glitches or is it just a vastly larger game...

I was always annoyed that those guys showed up at the end and killed all the opposition when you get Hyrule Castle’s boss key. Not only did I want to fight all of those enemies, but the people just disappear, there was no point to show them in the Castle.
I 'm playing through this game once more, close to the Boss of the City in the Sky and theres 30 hours on my timer 😄😄
I find it ridicously fascinating how he is using amiibo to aid him in the speedrun. Idk, something about that just genuinely fascinates me... I'm curious to see if there are more speedrun out there that exploit the uses of these amiibos... They may be worth the buck after all.

Twilight Princess is such a beautiful game. For me it's pretty close to OoT.
I like how they defeated the final boss with the Zora armor on! Why? Because yours are cool!
If you go to the opposite side of the horse grass and play it Epona comes from the direction you came from saving some time at least that's how it worked on the gamecube.
Idk if it works in the HD version but i wish you equipped the iron boots just as you use finishing blow. It's hilarious to see link spring up a hill with iron boots.

So, which HD remaster of an early Wii action-adventure game where you play as a superpowered wolf made for the better speedrun? I'll go for this one. Ōkami had so many skips it was pretty much impossible to follow; and those 8 minutes of nothing happening was pretty dull. It was still fun to watch, though.
I was debating speedrunning this game and seeing how close to the current HD record holder I could get, since I've beaten this game countless times now, but watching this, I would have no chance xD
The zelda speedrunning community's pretty nice, you wouldn't pick up on it instantly but if you really want to you could learn
