Thought I would share my pricing spreadsheet and method for sending estimates and invoices. If you would be interested in me making a pricing spreadsheet for your stump removal business, please get in touch!

You’ll see that a lot unfortunately 😭 don’t let it stop you though, some people just don’t realize the amount of money it takes to maintain these machines.

Thanks for the heads up. I just did a job charging by the hour . Went in a hole, 7 stumps one hill , fairy large did them for $ 150 soft , time l paid my help l made $50 , barely enough to get the gas. I don't have a computer anymore. Don't know how to change by the inch to come out ahead.
Hey Mike, charging by the inch definitely has its disadvantages. I updated my method a little, but it’s still based off the size of the stump. I use the price sheet to give me a fair starting price and then adjust it accordingly for the job I’m quoting. If the stumps are easy access and it won’t take long to clean up, I’ll knock some off the price the spreadsheet spit out. If there are a lot of rocks, it’s on a hill or hard to get to, near utilities, I’ll add some to the price.

How do you hookup a spread sheet like this. I might need to link up with you about this! I really love how organized that is and how it calculates it all.
I made this one myself! I have actually sold a few to other companies. I customize it with your pricing, logo, info and then give you access. I use Google Sheets

Do you charge before the job is done or afterwards?
We give free quotes so customer knows the price before we start, and then get paid once the job is done. We’ve never collected a deposit, but not opposed to it - just never felt like it was needed.
