I can't say much about it because I don't fully understand it yet, but I thought the new car was very complicated.

I mean, great lap, but that car is five seconds quicker than real life and 3 seconds quicker than the fastest ever qualifying time ... VRC should maybe consider nerfing it a "little"...

I don't see it that way myself. Because it's impossible to recreate real life. I think it's more important to be able to experience the world as an F1 driver feels it than to have an accurate lap time.

@@tagkenny27 Yes, that's important, but do you really feel like an F1 driver feels when you're cornering 10% quicker than he is? I tend to think that I'm doing what he does in fast forward in these cases, which is not the feeling I'm going for.
Now of course you're right, it's impossible to exactly replicate real life, especially with consumer sims. If the car hits the laptimes, but behaves wonky (eg drifts in low speed corners), nothing is gained. However I tend to believe that there's always something to push for, a better compromise to be found, a little more realism to be achieved. Maybe AC is not the platform for this though; that one has probably given all it can and it's time for AC Evo to push the envelope further.
But maybe not? I'd like to see VRC try.

If you use the same tire compounds and camber limit mandated by Pirelli you should have similar lap times to real life. Also, in the sim you sometimes can use kerbs which you wouldn't use in real life etc, also you can just drive flat out lap after lap until you nail the perfect lap in the sim.

It’s a simulator you can push the car without worrying about damages so it’s gonna be faster

@@pix345 In RL you have much more feeling for what the car is doing tho, so you can get closer to the limit. Pro drivers are hellishly quick.
