Surround yourself with beautiful people and life is always good and the world becomes a better place to exist. Most people are awful so I treasure my true friends and always call and check up on them. I notice who I don't have to chase in life as these are real friends. Gravitate towards those who gravitate towards you and your life will be a happier experience. Just my 5pence worth Paddy but advice I've found useful in my 45 years on this rock. 👌♥️🇹🇭

I visited Koh Samui last time 8 years ago. It is definitely the most beautiful place in Thailand. It is also my birthplace.

I think it's more about the people than it's about the place itself. I have been to Koh Samui but didn't enjoy it at all. It's a very beaituful island of course. But after watching this video i think i understand why you felt at home there. 👍👍@Flora and Note

Samui has a great feel! I love the coconut plantations - still some remaining! If you ever arrive by air - the airport is sensational - my favorite for sure! I remember my first introduction to Samui in the early 90's - landing at the 'jungle' airport and then being driven through a coconut plantation on a sandy track over to Chaweng. Beautiful! And yes - never too early for a beer! I also think that fruit maybe a version of an olive. Enjoy!

I live in Chiang Mai , but ended up in Samui last year during lockdown . Ended up staying for 5 months. This year I am in Phuket. Phuket is nice , but much prefer Koh Samui.
Phuket is like a hybrid of Chiang Mai and Samui. Best of both worlds without the negatives (Chiang Mai air pollution & remoteness from the sea, and Koh Samui's small town feel and small size).
"Koh Samui... Beautiful." - What a nice way to end that video. Thank you for showing our island from such a great perspective - it's really a gorgeous place - especially at the moment. And you went to all those places where I love to go as well - that Khao Mun Gai place in Hua Thanon where my parents are from. So delicious... And also Lamphu Shop in Lamai - we love to go there every once in a while for some of the best cakes on the island. Flora and Note really showed you some of the best places around here. Keep on having fun on Koh Samui :)

I am so impressed by your ability to work the drone catching action photos of yourself! Still wondering how you do that without someone else helping! And that Khao Mun Gai is similar to Singapore Hainan Chicken Rice. Yum!

Really glad you're enjoying Lamai, I've been here for years and love the sleepy seaside feel. If you're going over to Manam give Soi1 a go over the top of the mountains, some great spots off some of the little tracks.

Hey Paddy! Beautiful Koh Samui and good portable BBQ. Try putting the groupa in thin foil then in the Barbie. it should be more moist. Of course you could add scallions etc.

Your breakfast was a version of Hainanese Chicken rice even though the sauce on top is not like the one I was served in China. Tastewise this import became an unassuming delicacy in contrast with the strong flavours of traditional Thai cuisine. Enjoy your meal and thanks for your great vlogs, hands down the most enjoyable Western TH-cam channel among those based in Thailand. Congratulations Paddy!

I remember Kho Samui when it was just a ring road and huts where you could buy Marijuana from the restaurants.
Me too. Easy to get 3 month visas and for $15 you could give you passport to a guy who would take it to the border and get you another 3 months - while you were still on the beach on Ko Samui!
Yep I remember those days too. 25 years ago I was there. Happy days.

Fantastic stuff! I discovered Wanderflo channel a few months ago and it's brilliant! At that time you were just kicking off on your adventures Paddy and I actually messaged them on a video they did that had this super cool beach pop up Coffee shop ( you went to that same beach like a month later if memory serves). Anyhoo, I was just commenting on how I thought you guys would be great together if you could all meet up and Flo at the time messaged me back and said they hoped to - and a couple months later - hey presto - my two favourite TH-cam channels in the same video!
They are such a cool couple and you and dreamy are such a cool couple 😉 - double happiness (as they say in HK ) vlogging.

Great video, im really missing Samui, if you get a chance vist Angthong marine national park,
Has accommodation on the island, some cabins and tents, very cheap, bookings through the national park, well worth the visit, one main house that you can get meals at, locals
