- Recently we’ve been starting to think, could we live a simple life together on the island and give up our old city life? To help us answer this question, we decided to visit our friends Ying and Daniel who run Ying’s Thai Cooking Home in Koh Samui. They are advocates for living the slow life and they are passionate about healthy living and growing their own food. Join us as we learn more about their simple lifestyle here on the island.

Thank you Flora, thank you Note for this wonderful video about our lifestyle. Thank you also, Piet and Kwa for visiting us at our home. It was so much fun with all of you guys... We are deeply touched to see such a beautiful "documentary" about our simple way of living. By seeing our home in this natural environment from such an outside-perspective, all of this becomes even more motivational and encouraging for us... Now even more we feel like: Ok, that's the way to keep on going. And we are so happy that you guys liked the food and our homegrown veggies and herbs. Fresh and crunchy ;) We need to repeat that someday :)

It was our pleasure to come spend another day with you both. Thank you for your warm hospitality always and for sharing your knowledge with us. I think your simple way of living is inspiring to many people, including the four of us. Simple but not easy - lots of hard work but also lots of reward 🥰 We hope more people will get the lucky chance of spending a relaxing yet educational day with you both in your lovely home.

One of the best videos so far for me. I wish I go back and live simple life in Thailand but l’m 47 and my daughter just started going to high school my husband is in his 60’s that won’t be possible. He’s not into nature like me. He’s a city boy, I shall say.

Bangrak and Bophut are nice locations to chill :) Bar Baguette, King of Bread, Coco Tam, Treehouse by Silent Beach.. all amazing places to relax and grab a bite.
Hmm...giving plants too much attention. That could be true. I have (had) a fig tree in my backyard, and I always wonder it it gets enough water, so, I watered it...to death, literally. Now I only have a peach tree, but next spring I am going to plant Ranier Cherry trees, so, hopefully I won't over water them. Simple living is the best living, imho. Take good care of each other, you guys.

@@FloraandNote can teach you how to cook Rendang.. most important ingredient is coconut flesh that has the milk remove.. cook over slow fire n pounded...or u can buy it ready...what about pork that is boiled n salted dry. Very nice I have it before in Samui... delicious 😋
