It is sweet to see you spending intimate feeding time with your baby! It's not often in today's world of working moms that we see mothers breast feeding their babies, let alone one's 8th! You are a role model for so many and I am sure your daughters are receiving the best education and lessons through you. Your children are beautiful! Well done on this video!
Vous êtes vraiment une bonne maman vous faites super bien à manger en plus de tous ses enfants bravo ,je sais pas comment vous faites sa doit pas être facile. Vos enfants sont très beaux et votre fille vous aide c est bien ❤❤❤
I couldn't agree more! Well said...
Lisa, you are such a inspiration for me!what a Nice family and i like that you are real.
Greathings from Norway.
God bless you and your family!!
She always amazes me ....every time I watch her. Multitasking ....so many talents Her energy is abounding
Some mothers don’t have that option. Lisa is blessed to be able to do those things. Lisa also works extremely hard. I admire her, as well as working moms who love their families and do the best of their ability.
Seeing you homemaking makes me realize what the norm was 100 years ago and how much we've lost as a society. Thanks for showing us that we CAN do it again.
This is far from a real depiction of “what the norm was 100 years ago” there was a lot of bad that isn’t being shown here. Let’s not overly glorify the past. We haven’t lost anything we’ve gained freedom & choice.
@@MaiyaMia1exactly. No all woman wanted 100 kids
It's sad, isn't it? We have lost such simple things like kids playing outside, growing our own food, knowing how to cool, etc...I'm working on building some of these skills. :)
@@tulipan16 exactly but they had no choice, no education, no way out. Many were abused, many died in childbirth. Most were very young girls married to much older men. Lived in poverty with very little pleasures. So many issues but people forget that I guess.
Agreed. We’ve lost a lot of the simple in society but there is also a lot of advantages too. Just have to channel them both. Her husband is home with her all day. That’s a huge difference than 100 years ago lol
I really appreciate how you hire your daughter for bigger tasks like that instead of just making her do them!
As an eldest daughter, I think it's wonderful that you hired your daughter to help. I can't tell you how many years I babysat my 3 younger sibs for free. And, that included the time our stove caught fire! I called the fire department (this was before 911 was around), then the sister next in age helped me empty the shelves next to the stove as they held new dishes that my mother had just bought and I knew Mom would be unhappy if they were destroyed. Our youngest sibs were watching for firemen from the front porch. The firemen couldn't believe we emptied shelves next to a fire.
@@cynthiaoconnor7185What a memorable story! You’re so sweet to care for your mom’s things, but what a scary experience. I agree, it’s wonderful to offer oldest kiddos more autonomy in their “jobs” they have :)
@@cynthiaoconnor7185There's nothing wrong with expecting the older ones to watch the younger ones without pay! It's your family!
I am so sorry :( it sounds like you were told that your safety is not as important as the stuff your mother has :( and no @gretelgolden parentifying children is not ok. It is ok to give them tasks where you can live with the consequences if something happens. Imagine someone would have gotten hurt. The parents would have blamed the child and the child would have blamed herself and would have to live with the guilt
@MadameEclipseRose if that was me and something happened I would’ve NEVER blamed the kids!
I also think kids should help without pay but to get paid if it’s something bigger like do the family’s laundry for a whole summer or something.
I just had my fourth and I totally agree going from zero to one was the hardest. My only regret is that I didn’t have more. I am 37 now and I’m not sure if I’m getting too far up there. I love finding community where children are viewed as a blessing and not a burden.
Not too old. 😉 I had my first at 36… and just had my 4th at 42.
@@ethelmcgurk5239 You’re right. I should probably find a midwife so my chart won’t say advanced maternal age. 😆
Definitely not getting too far up there! 😉 I’m expecting #9 and will be 41 when I deliver…with my wonderful hospital midwives….even though this is my 3rd “advanced maternal pregnancy” according to my chart 😂 Honestly it’s pretty meaningless ☺️
You should have as many as God is willing to send to you, all children are blessings!
@@SummerLove-yv1kf Unfortunately, I'm still technically of "advanced material age" even though I deliver with midwives. I'll be delivering my fourth about a month before my 36th birthday, and we're definitely hoping for one or two more after that!
Because you’re a professional wrapper now, can you make a video/short, showing how you wrap a newborn and which wrap you like the most. Please!!!
She has a video about that
Yesss
I wish I would have had something like that when my son was born. I don't think they existed back then. I had a nice utilitarian type, but not a comfortable one for use all of the time.
She has videos all about wraps and wrapping.
I glanced at this comment before I watched and read "professional rapper." 😂 I was really confused
Im a mom of 5...planning on 6 in the next 18 months
For me the hardest transition was 1 kid to 2. It was hard to learn to prioritize what child needed what first, being pulled in more than one direction
The first wasnt easy, but i struggled more with having 2. After that it got easier because i had learned to juggle better
My boyfriend is a videographer/ filmmaker and he was so impressed with your filmmaking. He said GREAT NARRATION, GREAT EDITS, GREAT CUTS!
Well I sure appreciate that...thank you.
You always amaze me with your relaxed mothering style. You and your husband are giving your children wonderful lifelong memories and education. Blessings for your beautiful family.
Oh my gosh, just the two days or so that I've been watching her, I've calmed my mind. I'm at a standstill, recovering from surgery, and needed to adjust to slowing down from my usual FT working mama of 2 little boys. She's a gem. 🥰
I really have to say a BIG thank you to you Lisa!
Since coming across your channel and podcast my perspective on home life has changed so much. I have a 12 month old at the moment and have felt it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and even guilty when I’m taking care of the home instead of playing and having fun with her.
You’ve made me realise it’s a privilege to take care of our home and provide a healthy and functional home for our family and that there’s nothing to feel guilty about because kids need to fit into our life and don’t need to be constantly entertained by us (especially as they get older).
I’ve been able to balance my day so much better since coming to this perspective. I’ve also been making my own bread (not sourdough quite yet but I’m working on a starter) and I’ve even been enjoying cooking which I hardly ever enjoyed before. I feel so much more calm and accepting of my days and am starting to slow down and not rush so much!! It’s such a relief. I now know I can handle having many more babies and I can treasure it!
Overall you are a great influence and I’m so grateful that you have shared your life online so that we can see what is possible.
That is so kind, thank you!
I'm here to agree!!! ❤️
My daughter and son in law are teaching their kids home chores as well as the kids work with their father and earn money. They have four children so far. My oldest grandson picked out a pair of sneakers for school not realizing they were $150😳 He told his parents that was to much and picked out another type. It wasn’t exactly what he wanted but he knew they could not afford those sneakers. I was very proud of him. When you give them responsibility they realize it takes hard work to buy things it teaches and gives them principles.
I just gotta say... You're truly such a special person.
I’m currently going through the “laying low” phase with my 1 week old newborn, #9 for us. I ventured outside this morning for the first time to gather tomatoes. It felt good, but had to go lie down after. Knowing your body and taking it easy are really key. And I agree, 0-1 was hardest for me, too!
Congratulations!
It’s been hard for me to lay low too. I had #4 4 months ago, had to try so hard and still I kept getting fresh blood again. With my #3 I only bled for 9 days cus I really took it easy and my hubby was home and did everything. He was home this time too but we had just moved overseas from the US 2 months before baby was born so there was a lot going on in my mind and hard to take it easy. Hopefully if we are blessed with more I can actually take it easy and have shorter recovery and bleeding period 😊
I hope we have more children, I feel like I will never be done giving birth and having newborns, best thing ever. I freebirth (#3 and #4) and it’s the most wonderful thing! 😍

I am in awe of you, lady! I can't believe how much you pack into your days with all of your lovely children... what a wonderful role model you and your husband are for the world 🥰
I don’t know how you do it all but you do it with such grace. Bless you and your sweet family.
Your family, your presentation... is balm for the soul. Prayed for your homeschooling, for your continued, rich blessing by the Lord, IJN ✝
I totally understand what your saying. Each baby I had it got easier. You learn to figure out your days. My 8,9 were twins, so that was a different adventure. I had my 10th at 42 years old. I’m 47 now and my youngest is 5. Life will give you the way and you just need to roll with it.
Thank you so much for sharing this day with us. Your children are adorable
You are amazing ❤❤❤❤
Im so grateful for all that you do. After 20 yrs I have started cooking with sourdough again thanks to your videos. Baby Victor is so precious.
Oh such sweet baby scenes with Victor! Love his dark hair! Precious moment with the oldest son holding the youngest son! Thank you for sharing this video Lisa! Have a great date night!
I agree with so many of the comments! It’s a joy to watch you enjoy and take care of everything in your stride and not get overwhelmed or stressed by your added work load as a homemaker. It’s inspiring seeing you with your family, in your kitchen and garden. Thanks so much always for sharing ❤
I love spending time with you. You make me feel calm and feel hopeful for the future of our country. Our lives couldn't be more different from one another. I'm an urban 76 year old. Married 30 years and unfortunately and sadly no children. Watching your beautiful videos and seeing the wonderful and wholesome l life you and your husband have created for yourselves and your children just makes me happy. Mad respect and thank you for sharing your lives with us. Beautiful Victor. Beautiful children. ❤
Thank you!
Baby Victor is beautiful. So sweet to see you with him. The older kids just jumping right in and helping with the chores. Such a beautiful family.
8 children! You are an AMAZING WOMAN. God give you strength.
One of my aunts had 7 boys.
Your amazing. I was second to the oldest of ten. Never felt like another sibling made a difference. I am 69 now and still time with my siblings is the best. Good job mama.
Thanks for sharing that!!
I’m pregnant with my second, and my first will be about 18 months when this baby is born. Seeing you work and care for your other kids is very encouraging, as I’m nervous about the transition from 1 to 2.
Praying for you & your beautiful family ❤
Congratulations!
1-2 was my hardest
After that it wasn’t hard
My first newborn wasn’t hard as I had tons of childcare experience, incl babies. I could sleep when he did.
The second tho- no more lazy days lol
One of me, 2 of them!
I love the fact that you are authentic yourself without changing your content presentation based on the comments
Your daughter helping in the kitchen is so sweet. Beautiful family❤
I love it! I have been buying raw milk from a local farmer since our former go-to neighbor friend/farmer had to sell off his dairy heifers. I have done a few skimming which have sometimes been great and sometimes not!
I love that your kitchen seems very minimal and even with cooking all day long, you still have everything you need.
I feel that 0 to 1 is the biggest change, yes, but that's been the easiest for me. I could actually focus on recovery, sleep when the baby sleeps, doctor visits weren't as difficult, etc.. when you have other kids you can't do all that easily. It's not practical because the household and other kid(s) need you. My hardest was 2-3 but only because they were so close in age and my oldest had school, so I was having to do so much. With 1-2 my first was prek and pretty self sufficient.
You are an amazing homemaker. Your family is so blessed!
If the good Lord let's me live, I am growing flowers next year. You make it look so effortless and they are beautiful! Thank you for your calming videos. Your home and family are beautiful❤
You can do it!
Wow! Thank the Lord for your healthy baby and beautiful family. You and your husband and family are truly an inspiration! Wishing you many more future blessings.
Canning tomatoes in big batches: I core and quarter my tomatoes and freeze them in gallon ziplocks. When I run out of freezer space I do a big batch of them by thawing in a roaster, ladeling off the watery juice, cooking them a little, and then running them through my victorio strainer. The strainer is new for me this year and in the past I'd run them through a cone strainer or food mill. The victorio is so much better! With the juice I let it settle and pour off the watery part, leaving the red juice. This year I added bloody Mary mix powder and canned that too. For my first batch of tomatoes this year I made pizza sauce, so good!
For me, it used to be 0 to 1, but the transition from 2 to 3 was the hardest for me. My youngest is special needs, and it was like being a new parent all over again. I had to learn so many new things, and our whole family had to adapt to a new lifestyle. My yougest is almost 3, and it's been hard, but we're learning to navigate life as it is now and it has gotten easier.
I feel like our lives are so similar except you have twice the kids!! I feel like I see my future and it’s beautiful ❤ love your videos Lisa.
Throw tomatoes in the freezer as u bring them in. U can core them first if u like but freeze them w skins on. Then when ur ready to make something run them under hot water and the skins fall right off. So easy! Keep a box in a deep freeze to add to and do a big batch.
YOU!!! Just Amaze Me! in every way! shape! and form!! Praying the Good Lord will bless you your family!🙏😔❤️
I loved the tender moments where you kissed Victor. If I had a penny for every time I did this with my babies, it would have added up very quickly. Even with your large brood, it’s wonderful that you so obviously appreciate this unique and fleeting time in your life and his. I also wanted to comment on everything you are giving to your daughter when you trust that she will do the big job of finishing off your slip covers. How awesome that she knows you have confidence in her ability to perform and complete such a big job. She must be feeling so confident and proud of herself. I really love your parenting style!
Mom of 7 here - and I agree that 0 to 1 was the hardest!
I didn’t know how to trust my instincts. Once I figured that out, each one was added with much more confidence ♥️
I was the same way 50 years ago when I had my four.
No one had natural childbirth, without drugs
No one breastfed. I did.
We had a farm in the mountains.
So wonderful to see.
I love love love your videos and all you do for yourself and your family.
I'm going to shift my mindset here a little bit. Before, when I would see videos like this, mature and skilled mamas- I could barely make it one minute into the video. I would be reminded of all the ways I did not add up as a mom and as a homemaker, which is not their faults, it was mine (I just had my little girl three months ago). NOW- after actually finding your videos... I'm shifting my thinking to- hey. This is beautiful. The only reason I struggled before is because this is what I aspire to be like. And it won't always be perfect, but if keep working towards bettering the areas I struggle in, I will get better and better as time goes on.
And the fact that you said that going from zero to one was your hardest made me SO ENCOURAGED. This is our first baby.
I was never taught these homemaking things growing up, so I'm glad me (a young mom) can look up to people like you to learn. I'm excited to grow!
Keep doing what you're doing, beautiful mama! We love your videos and thank you for reminding us that it was a process for you, too.
Thanks so much for sharing encouragement with all of us and for any new moms that need it!
I can’t wait for your new book!! Your new baby is so adorable all your children r so cute.
Reminds me of our family 😊 I also enjoy small batch canning - though it doesn't give that Wow factor of full shelves in one day, it sure is a more fluid way to add new items to store up more frequently, while only adding about 30 minutes of work that is likely part of the plan anyhow. And the first was the biggest change from just being a couple responsible adults, to being 24/7 responsible for someone else, plus it was all new to learn; after that the skills are there so you make things flow more easily, and you know what not to worry about.
3:20 what a harvest! you are truly blessed.
Welcome little one! I am like you that I share my flower arrangements often in my videos too. They are just too beautiful not too:)
6 little boys.🥰 Violet told me she wants to have 8 boys.❤️I love the Real flowers. Dahlias are so beautiful.
You can make 'Ghee' from excess milk and preserve it
I also have 8 boys in a row. With a girl on both ends. We are homeschooling 7 of them this year. I have been homeschooling for 18 years now
You can throw your tomatoes in the freezer as is until you’re ready to deal with them. Usually the peels slip off easily when they defrost too.
❤ You’re amazing! Popping my sourdough bread in the oven today for day 3 before going back to work after a week vacation. Summer has finally cooled off enough to turn on the oven again while the rain watches over the gardens. Victor is adorable! Enjoy your snuggly private moments knowing you are blessed! 😊
112 here with the heat index
10th day in a row
Been this almost all summer
Thank you for showing us your beautiful baby, Lisa ❤
My youngest daughter just had her 1st baby on Tuesday. It was 19 hours of labor and an emergency c-section later that we welcomed her adorable baby boy,Ryker, into the world 🥰 I’ve never felt so helpless in my life 😞 She was a trooper and did an amazing job!! He is perfect! And Momma and baby are doing great ❤️
Awe! Congratulations to the whole family!
Thank you!!! He is so precious ❤️
I love your videos. I’ve cooked your sourdough fluffy biscuits 4 times this week. So good with honey butter and gravy biscuits. And congratulations on new baby boy!
I learned how to sourdough from her too, God bless her!
That little bit of a baby boy 🥰 was incorporated into your thriving, loving family seamlessly…..God Bless You for being open to raising a large family. It is a blessing for ALL of the children and you and Luke 🙏🏼
Thank you so much!
The newest addition, so sweet! Love to see how you go about your day! Looking forward to your book!
I am sure many mentioned it , but on gathering tomatoes for a bigger preservation project, Jessica with Three Rivers Homestead teaches to put the tomatoes in a zip lock bag in the freezer.
The peeling come right off as they thaw when you pull out the bags to do your desired project .
I really like your attitude to life in general
It’s not judgemental and it’s really authentic ❤
I LOVE how you carry your newborn! Sooo precious! ❤
Wow this episode was jam-packed with activities! I thought you would slow down a bit after having Victor. Your videos are just a joy to watch! 😊😘
I absolutely agree that having zero kids then having your first one is definitely the hardest transition. After that, you find your stride and it’s just tossing baby into the daily routine 😂 I’ve got 4 so far.
I’m so glad your daughter brought new life to the chair slip-cover! The video of you making it was how I came to know and follow you. You made it seem easy, so I slip-covered one myself. Still looks beautiful!
Ugh, I love this so much! Thank you for showing the pieces of your day!! Being a mom with littles is so hard but so rewarding! Thank you!!
Don't forget you can make tomatoe paste
I will always credit you Lisa for giving me the gift of learning how to create my own sourdough starter in my mid twenties that I hope to keep and use for years to come as I start my family. Another lovely video, God Bless! 🕊️🤍🙏🏽
Thank you so much!
I freeze my tomatoes as I pick them and once they thaw out you can peel the skin right off! Saves time and I get to pick the day I do canning!
Hi Lisa, a couple tips for you, you can also freeze dry your ricotta and even milk. Also, freeze tomatoes until you have enough for a big batch to can. Love your videos and Congratulations on Victor!
currently pregnant with baby number 5 just moved to our homestead last december no farm house or barn but a single wide and 2 sheds and an amazing celar. you are doing what I wish i to be doing. transitioning with a new baby I find is only hard when I tear it makes healing challenging 2 out of my four I tore but also home births help with the transition too
I have 5 grown children and I agree, baby number one rocked my whole world, everything changed, but as I had more it became so much easier. Try ricotta pancakes, they have a lot of protein, nice and hearty. Thank you for another great post, God bless you as you put a new cookbook together.
Congratulations glad to have you back❤
He’s soooo cute !!! Thank you for sharing him ! ❤
Welcome back! Little Victor is adorable!! ♥️
I SO look forward to your videos each week!! 🥰 Thank you!
I have 7 homeschool and homebirth also ❤ love the baby wearing. It’s such a short season. I fully embrace it as well.
I cannot WAIT for your book
I cannot wait for the cookbook!!

Thank you so much!
Lisa, so wonderful to see you and sweet baby Victor. Loved your scenes of late summer daily projects ..I find them so comforting and rewarding. Great to hear about your book..💕💕Liz💕👏
I’m watching you thinking about when we were raising our nine children and wishing I still had the energy I see in you. I guess that’s why you have them young. But the one thing I can tell you is grand babies are awesome! ❤
Loved watching this, so peaceful and heartwarming. Congratulations to your beautiful family on little Victor :)
