I ADORE Gladys Knight. There have been many amazingly talented singers, but there's something about this woman that always touches me. She's brutally honest and brutally classy: no gimmicks, no falsettos, no oversexualization (and she was gorgeous, by the way), just an adult woman singing about adult stuff here: keeping a relationship that is already dead for fear. She is in my top five of greatest singers of all time, in my humble opinion.
Thanks for checking her out. Notice how much power and conviction she brings, just standing still. No outrageous make up, no twerking, no crazy gimmicks, just natural authoritative skill.

One of my favorite Gladys Knight songs, along with Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me. Both songs allowed Ms Knight to display her great singing abilities. The Pips provided great harmony allowing these songs to be classics.

Even when that relationship is toxic, or comes to the point where you feel nothing for one another. Gladys Knight, one of the great R&B/Pop voices of all time. Gladys is still alive at the ripe young age of 75. I hope you have many more years to come, lady of soul.

Gladys Knight & The Pips... Oh my teenage years were incredible... What an incredible voice, harmonies, emotions... You can hear the Gospel sound in her voice. And this was a live performance...not taped nor lipped synched... I miss the music of my youth... We went from silly songs to gut-wrenchibg songs, to love songs that had us floating in the air and eveything in between... And you knew when you went to a concert or a venue where our singers were performing live that they were goibg to sound just like in the records because it was their vouce, their talent, their artistry that you heard -- not someone "cleaning the sound or using auto tune. My mom did not understand much Englush in the early 1970's but Gladys Knight & The Pips, Chi-Lites, The Four Tops, The Spinners, etc were on the radio all of the time.

I grew up loving Motown because my parents loved it - but in the '70s I just adored Gladys Knight & The Pips .... both because of her amazing voice, but also because of their stylish stage performance .... I think that to the day I die their music will soothe my soul :)

Gladys was a child star. Very underrated great singer. She had a real bad gambling problem and lost almost everything. I hope she's doing ok today.

Hello my sister thank you for playing that song just so you know those are family members singing behind her older brother and two cousins this lady can sing I saw her when she was a little girl on the Ted Mack show in the fifties her voice never changed she's older now when you see her in person she gives you her all and then some wow what a talent
