U should check out the all girl band from the 80’s called Klymaxx. They had a great song called “I Miss You”.
Tevin has another great song, “I’m Ready.” I am not sure, but I think we sang with New Edition when the group reformed. Another great singer that I know for sure joined New Edition was Johnny Gill. He went on to make a solo career also.

He was discovered by Quincy Jones and first appeared on the Back on the block album in 1989. The first song he sung and made people compare him to a young MICHEAL JACKSON was called TOMORROW BETTER YOU BETTER ME. give that a listen it's great and I believe he twelve or thirteen when he sung this song it's beautiful.

He was actually discovered by flutist performer Bobbi Humphrey, her brother was a good friend to his mother, his mother told Bobbi Humphrey's brother about Tevin, they set up a phone audition and Bobbi Humphrey told Quincy Jones about Tevin and it went from there. Whenever someone brings up Quincy Jones in an interview with Tevin and say something like you were discovered by Quincy Jones , Tevin will immediately correct them and rightfully, truthfully and respectfully correct them and tell them how it really happened, that it was actually Bobbi Humphrey who informed Quincy Jones about him, so in all honesty you start with his mother who told Tevin to go solo due to singing in the Church Choir, then it goes on to due to the fact that his mother knew Bobbi Humphrey's brother, and the brother and Tevin's mother got him singing for Bobbi Humphrey and then Bobbie Humphrey got in touch with Quincy Jones and then you go from there and the rest is musical history, but look for an interview here on TH-cam of Tevin and you'll have the actual facts , I'm just so happy that Tevin is telling the truth about who actually discovered him first and not giving firsthand credit to someone who actually didn't like Berry Gordy did with Diana' Ross and The Jackson 5, and eventually the honest truth came out about that situation, but that's past history now, thank goodness for Tevin Campbell and The Jackson 5

Well believe who and what you want but look for an interview on Tevin and you will see for yourself, he appreciates what Quincy, Prince and Babyface did for him but he's not going to let people believe that they discovered him first, he always corrects the person who brings it up and he always mentions his mother, Bobbi Humphrey's brother and Bobbi Humphrey, and I feel that that is very commendable of him, so in the order that he always mentions then I believe him, he's giving credit first and foremost to he feels whom actually put him out there, everyone who follows after that did a fabulous job, but me myself I'm going on Tevin's word, just try to find an actual interview that he is doing with someone here on TH-cam about the start of his career because they are most definitely several on here and you will see and hear it for yourself. Alrighty I'm done, everyone to their own choosing but I myself choose to believe Tevin. Take care now

Actually, it was the song ,'Tomorrow' from Quincy Jones' album 'Back on the Block' the launched his career.
ScabbedWings nah. That was his first break and introduction, but Round and Round got massive rotation on MTV translating to a platinum debut album and cross over from the R&B charts to the Hot 100.
If you’re doing Tevin, you can’t leave out his stuff as the rock star Powerline - “I2I” and “Stand Out.” Loved it as a kid.
