- Cat Sanctuary Thailand. Life in Thailand. Hi and Welcome to Michelle's cat sanctuary here in Rayong Thailand, I am a retired lady from Australia living here in wonderful Thailand and I'm on a mission to rescue cats, I have over 90 cats now and all of these cats are having a better life than being on the streets. I use my Australian pension to care for these loving cats so if anyone would be interested in sponsoring a cat or help to sponsor the cats here then all donations would be welcomed. I also have volunteers helping out to take care of these wonderful cats so if your in the area and would like to do some voluntary work then your more than welcome. Contact me on the email below.

Thanks for watching, I give one day a month to do the jobs others can't do. Fixing lights repairing the wooden cat tree just to name a few jobs done 🙏🙏and next month new rollers on the front gate. Thanks for sharing. I understand and appreciate Michelle's compassion and empathy for those cats (we have a few feline rescues, as well), but the size of her colony is a serious issue.
90+ for such a confined space seems irresponsible.
That many cats will produce around 12 pounds/5 kilos of feces per day...the amoung of urine...uffdah! That small area is a serious biohazard to humans...a genuine public health problem.
I hope she will be able to get a wet food sponsor.
Thanks for your comment. I understand your concern but rest assured poop is scooped twice daily and taken away. There are several sand pits that the cats use for toilets and the sand is changed regularly. All surfaces, floors and other areas the cats use are cleaned and disinfected daily. This is where the volunteers help the most. All bedding is washed and disinfected regularly. I'm strict with keeping the spaces where the animals live hygenically clean. Since the big enclosure was built over three years ago, I've never gotten sick nor has anyone who has worked in it or visited. Rather than being a health hazard, visitors and other rescuers comment on how clean everything is and how the cats live in five star accommodation.
