bet Ur glad to be home, nice to see Ur back to normal 😘 xx vee
Everyone knows you never rely on a Thai for anything and certainly not your visa. Get your own retirement visa. Not getting a multi entry is a daft things too.
How much is health care ? And if you travel back to the UK occasionally how do you budget for that too?
My Medical insurance costs me 25,000 Baht $ US 757 GBP 570 EUR 682 I do not plan to visit the UK in the near future but my Medical insurance covers me for 90 days worldwide.
That's a lot of money to find for 2 adults a year !
One of your vids popped up in redcar really made me miss the north east i haven’t been bk for 5 years moved straight from Spain to Thailand no matter where I live I will always be a Geordie real English
Lol thanks for watching, I'm glad to be back in Thailand, the UK ok to visit but there are better things to live for outside the UK Bubble.
Hi Les...gr8 channel, very happy for you mate. I also live in Rayong and love it too. Spent 30 year's in the Military and am now happily retired. Felt let down by successive Government's in the UK who have destroyed the place. Personally, I wish the UK would adopt similar immigration policies to those of Thailand.
100 % agree with the Immigration Policy there seems to be a free for all who come. this can't go on year after year who pays for this. Thanks for watching. Rayong visited for 2 weeks stayed for 10 years.
How many teabags and hobnobs did you bring back with you? 😂
Just HP Sauce that's all. Not a big tea drinker.
Why do all these ‘economic migrants’ not row their boats to Thailand 😂😂😂 they’d rather go to shitty UK for the pi$$h weather and benefits 😂😂
Thailand full of bacons.
If you do need something to eat either before or time to kill before your onward journey do try the food hall on the bottom floor of the airport… used by airport staff and those in the know, at least half the price of anything you may find elsewhere in the airport, put a few Baht on a swipe card, whatever change that’s left after paying then take it back to the cashier for your change, obviously Thai style food but always excellent quality.
Good tip I did not know about this. Thanks will have a look the next time.
Great video made me emotional. im trying to get there as soon as i sell my house
Thanks for watching very much appreciated.
Hi Les. Interested to know what was the age difference between you and the bar girl who scammed you?
Did not ask her age. But scammed out of so little compared to others, A learning curve.
Is the toxic smoke reaching you? I hope you are able to avoid it.
No not really but sometimes it will get here but not as bad as up north.
Great advice Les,your spot on 👏
Glad you think so! Thanks so much for taking time to comment.
I look forward to seeing more on your new solar set-up. I've been thinking of doing a small system up here in Chiang Mai.
Look forward to completion, I have already done a backup system have a look. th-cam.com/video/ymMUfcqpMjQ/w-d-xo.html
@@RetiredandLivingthedream yeah, already checked them out...loved your ground bonding explanation.
Ahh welcome back Khun Les. Best wishes from me here, just down the road in Bang Saray.
Hi Andy thanks for the welcome.
I travel the world. Last year got very sick in Costa Rica. Sad experience. Came home very sick. I went to Thailand and Vietnam last year also. I don't really have family left and my biggest fear is dying alone and lonely. I've always been so active. I live on 2 thousand a month. This sounds like I can rent. Have help & companionship for a few hours a day knowing I can move to assisted living if I need it.
You could live this lifestyle on what you have no problem. I will be doing more video's about this subject soon. Have you seen this video.th-cam.com/video/J55_ZpaCrdA/w-d-xo.html
@@RetiredandLivingthedream what a thoughtful response. Thank you for reaching out. If I did assisted living can I still travel about the country as I'm physically able? Another topic? Dealing with pre-existing conditions on travel Insurance. I would like to try 6 & 6 mo ths a year to begin. I like the idea of being cremated and a monks Buddhist blessing.... i.was in Chiang Mai in the center of town. Not my vibe as I need the water view so I'm looking for quaint resort style Beach living assisted situation. Also? Can I have a scooter... I drive 3 wheel motorcycle here n US
Also? One more question Have you spoken about pets and finding apartments or assisted living??? Pets allowed??
Thanks for video, has got me motivated to quicken my move to Thailand. :-)
Thanks for watching best wishes on your future plans.
At least you didn't have to worry about watering the garden!😅😅
Lol Nope getting back to normal now and easy to manage once it's done.
Enjoy mate!Chokdee
Thanks for watching I'll do my best.
Welcome home Les 👍👍
Thanks 👍It's great to be back.
You look very happy Les, congratulations. Hello to Ploy.
I am! Great to be back home. thanks for watching.
Your shows are great thank you les from Scott new Zealand
Thanks for watching! Very much appreciated.🙏
Sadly the litter comes from rivers and other countries aswell as Thailand
Ive seen Thai's throw plastic cups into the sea from a boat and a bin was very close to him. Litter everywhere but look beyond this and it has it's likability.
Actually the Beach looked good in Redcar but I’m sure the temperature wasn’t warm enough
On a sunny bank holiday weekend the beach is good at Redcar, but they are rare like hens teeth.
Once again such sound advice, as my dear departed dad always said.. Life is not a rehearsal… so enjoy it .. We’ll done sir 👍🏻
Thanks for taking time to comment.🙏
I reckon you got a good 6 or 7 weeks before the rain stops ,, when we built our place 12 years ago we had to wait until the 2nd week in November
When it's good here it's good I can wait. Thanks for taking the time to watch.
Mate where abouts are you I’d love to pick your brains re property places to go etc etc just moved here arrived few weeks before you I’m in Koh Keow
We live in the Rayong Province, a nice part of Thailand not on the Tourist trail so reasonable cost of living. Ask away and I'll give you as much info as needed. Email address in in the description below the video's.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream sent email mate
U left your wife in the uk?
I left my wife in Thailand.
Heres the thing tho. Given the economics, rising cost of living in the West. Give it another 10-20 years, SE Asia will also be out of reach financially for those retiring on a budget. Just a matter of time. So where next??!
Ill cross that Bridge in 20 years time, Live for today.
Great to see you back in your element.. Your mood is visibly different.. :-)
The garden Video I looked tired, it was the day after my return but a week later I'm ok now. Thanks for taking time to comment.
Do you think David lammy will bring positive change
Are you his DAD ?? Or his husband ?
LOL LOL LOL A fool if ever I seen one. Climate change is more important then other pressing things. Like what is going on around the World. Climate change in his mind is number 1. Who's pocket is he in.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream are you exited of Rachel reeves and Ed Millaband? My church friends in Surrey are exited for Ed Millaband
Welcome back Les. It was interesting to see your videos from the UK. Looking forward to your Thailand videos.
Thanks for watching, going back to the UK made me realize I made the right decision 14 years ago, forever grateful for the UK giving me opportunities but nothing was given to me for free, I have what I have because I went out and got it worked hard and grasped opportunities when they came along. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment.
Hi mate love your videos good on ya
Thanks so much for watching. Very much appreciated.👌
Good to see you back. I will be staying in Sattahip during December so not far from you. It’s a trial month renting there to see how I could adjust
Good to hear, best wishes for your trial session. A great time to visit. Well done.
Am I correct in understanding that, because your garden is over grow, you live alone? My reasoning is, if I lived with a woman, I would expect her to take care of the garden if I were to be away for +/- 9 weeks. 🤷
Maybe his lovely lady went with Les to the UK or back up to see her family for a few weeks… ?
Show respect (woman) 🤯very blunt comment, show you know little about this channel.
There are many video's on my channel about my marital status, sometimes the lifting heavy strimmer's and balancing of ladders with a strimmer is not a lady thing to do. Have a look at my almost 500 video's and you will see how things work here. My wife pulls more than her weight in here.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream I am quite new to your channel so, I am not very familiar with your whole situation and background.
Mate the litter on the beach is washed up from the strong winds and waves not from people littering, I live on koh tao, we have the same strong winds now, it's low season for scuba diving now on koh tao so not many people on the beach yet ever day we pick up rubbish that's been washed up
Yep I agree it is a global problem the sea is full of junk. Koh Tao is on our list of places to visit. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream let me know if you come I will buy you a beer for sure
Welcome home mate
Much appreciated and happy to be home.
Welcome Home Les where you belong
Thanks so much and am so happy to be home. 😀👌
Looks idyllic, but where's the picture house.
I have my own here in my house, a 100inch screen and a Projector. Lol. Cant see the sewer pipe either. Ahhhh to be home. Thanks for watching.🙏
Those apartments facing the beach with the swimming pool... Now they look nice 👍 can't wait to see your solar setup with those batteries I think it will be better than you think it will be.
Thanks for watching, my electric bill this month was only 400 baht so I'm enjoying the challenge to do this, we will see how much it costs. our normal electric bill is 800 a month getting it down to 400 every month is the goal. All the bits are here now and requests from others to sort out various problems I have a big list. 2 weeks and it will be done.
How muchvwas your nice hair cut, £12 in Middlesbrough. 😮. Nice tour of outside house, people can't believe rentcwas less than $300 months amazing
120 baht GBP 3 ( have no pound sign on my Thai keyboard lol ) Bargain.
Nice life you are living. All the best.
Thanks for the comment, I do like the lifestyle here, I think some changes are going to happen but time will tell, I'll go with the Flow.
I have lived in thailand 11 years and recently went to Rayong. Its a great place. Loved it
I came to Rayong for 2 weeks and been here for almost 12 years. Thanks for watching.

@@RetiredandLivingthedream Good for you. Enjoy. Was in Phuket last week for a road trip. Was ok. Got out just in time. Big rains, flooding, landslide. A big mess.
Hi Les .It's a difficult decision Redcar or Thailand think I need to phone a friend .All the best to yourself and Ploy.
Yep it became easier as the weeks went on. Thanks for watching.🙏
My main concern about living in the UK is the level of violence in the communities and the lack of morals.
Crime is high in the UK, and now will get worse as criminals won't be locked up. Thanks for taking time to comment.👌
In Thailand the problems are road safety, unstable country, corruption at all levels
Don't you have kids? Do you think David Lammy is good to save England
