- Alone in the woods, ATV Camping Overnighter with high winds and lots of bugs. Had hamburgers over the campfire for supper, bacon and coffee in the morning. It was a great time overlanding or off-roading around the woods and checking out some new sites for future camping trips. I was also testing out a new tent and backpack. So far really liking them.

Appreciate your candour in reminding us all that every outing you learn, or re learn something. Forgot my fly dope, forgot my spatula..those burgers looked like hell, but I know they probably tasted incredible. And the way you left the fire pit as you found it is such a no brainer, so others, please watch and learn.

Camping by water is nice, but sometimes the bugs and noise may not be worth it. That's the fun, though, trying new spots and seeing how they are. Glad you had a relaxing time on this trip (not building anything) and could enjoy burgers & beers in the evening. Nice shoutout to a couple of good guys. @@JoshuaGammon Thanks, all is well here. We've hit 100F and it isn't too bad... above 115F is rough and that'll be coming up in June. Packing up tonight and going out Fri-Sun to camp in the forest in northern AZ. Can't wait to get out!

Ah the Peepers, they make such beautiful music, except yours are rather loud...😎 When i was a kid here in Connecticut,USA...we had a large pond behind our house and could hear the peepers. Great to see you out in the woods again..thanks 🏞🍽🪓✔
Yes there were really loud. Almost to load to the head. Still had a great time and can't wait to get back out there.
Maybe get an army surplus mosquitoe head net and pack it in the atv. It will make fishing much more fun.

Nice attempt with the invented Fiskula flipping the burgers! You can NEVER EVER EVER forget the DEET! Black flies are murderous. I give you credit for sticking it out. I couldn't without the deet and mini propane bug repellent. You always produce a great video. PS That's how the swamp sounds and probably smells in the evening. Always love your videos my friend. They're very real.

haha , Step Two , that's what Steve Walls calls it . He does Stealth Camping , but you probably already know that . I love the " Drive By " scenes , but always think about you having to set up the camera , and then go back to pick it up . Thanks for showing what that looks like . lol ! Lol oh yes I watch old Steve every Thursday!! Funny guy! LOL. There's a lot of work that goes into filming when your trying to camp, I've been camping a long time but never filmed it in years past. But once I started I just really liked it. Maybe one day that will change and I'll stop, but for now it's fun and I like reading the comments good or bad. Oh I was in a pinch and just used the axe. I didn't have time. Ooops! Bugs were keeping me busy I guess. LOL
Another great video Mr Gammon...on a side note I was watching a few of Maritimer's videos and he gave you a shout out, I thought that was cool. Keep those cameras rollin'!

Great video of just a easy night out. Spring in the Maritimes is a fantastic time to be in the woods but boy those few weeks of black flies are brutal.

Dude, I have the same type of pouch for my fire starter kit! The molle camera bags are fantastic. I use another for my range finder when I'm shooting my bow and hunting. Cant beat the price either. Great videos, keep up the good work! I wish I lived in your part of the country!

I love your videos and learn new techniques like how to do my fire when I'm camping out. I live in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains in East Tennessee of USA so a lot of times I'll camp out in my backyard next to the woods. There's plenty of wild animals such as black bears, Bobcats and two dens of coyotes in my neck of the woods but they never bother me when I'm camping out. I'm expecting a new pop-up 5-8 person tent coming soon and will be camping out a lot when it arrives.
Casey thanks so much glad you like the video and glad you can learn something from it. I try to incorporate some learning into the videos if I can. Starting a fire is the most important so I like to try difference ways. We seem to have the same animal in this parts. Never had a problem in all my years. Just keep the food away from camp. Great trip man. Food looked amazing as always. Dang that was a lot of bugs and flies. That can make a trip a little uncomfortable but a smoke fire helps. Makes me wonder how the people from naked and afraid survive that long getting bit and harassed.

Hi Bro, i just found your channel, great one. I was planning buy that Tent, but i saw some reviews about it and a lot says whater proof sucks... Is that true? You sealed the tent?
I haven't had this one in the rain yet. Hopefully soon. The seems are taped and it's double stitched so I don't see a problem. There's always going to be bad reviews online if you look. And sometimes there's a few products on there that missed QC. But I think over all your should be fine.
How he manages to sleep alone in a tent in the wilderness , in the woods inhabited by predators & wild animals and maybe even haunted by demons 😈 ? ! 😄😆.

Right now I live in a town and have to tow out to a location before I head in the bush. Things are going to be changing soon and hopefully I'll be closer to the woods over the next few months. Make it a little easier for me. Cheers Jason
LOL Sorry dude. The cups are great, they keep the coffee warmer then using a metal cup. There is something about using the wood cup over medal. I get it dude, it's not just you.
