- Hey ! In this video I head out with my dog Wendell, for a solo overnight wild camping trip in the Caledonia Mountain area of New Brunswick, Canada.
We find a beauty spot by the river, I set up and test a new tent that was sent to me by Pomoly And a new sleeping bag (US M.S.S).
We cook up a big ass Rib Eye, drink some cold beers and get some nice shots with my Drone.

That was a sweet camp spot! Camping right next to a river like that is awesome. The new tent looked great! It'll work good in winter for sure. That is a bummer your drone took a dip in the river, but they are pretty durable aircraft that can take a little beating. But I am glad the drone is working.

Looked like a nice camping trip except for the drone. I camp out here in the deserts of Arizona whenever I can and enjoy the solitude and sky view. The only real danger are the occasional rattlesnake and brushing up against any of the multiple varieties of cactus (ouch). On the upside I almost never have to worry about rain or finding dry firewood. I just found your show and enjoy it very much. Take care and have fun.

@@Maritimer Hey, i live in western Colorado, about 1 hr east of moab utah.. i typically string up a tarp from the 4 wheeler to a tree and sleep under it in just my sleeping bag

Another great video ! You have inspired me to get a tent and do some atv camping, i have a good river to camp by , i have a 22 year old Polaris sportsman still runs like new, but I really do enjoy your videos , Canada looks like beautiful country, I live in southern United States
Hey ! thanks man !! That's amazing, I'm sure you will have a blast. Only tips I'll give ya for your first trip is 1) Don't Overpack (which you will do anyway, and every time haha)
and 2) Don't go too far away, its different at night, our natural instinct is to be scared, which is heightened when everything goes dark. (still happens to me) so if you end up changing your mind, having the option to get back to your truck/house is always nice. my friend Manzinoman did that very thing his first ATV Camping trip (he left it in his video too, you should check it out) Good channel and super nice guy.

I like your videos my dog loves camping and riding in my RZR. I have to keep him on a leash. He weighs about 10lbs. Here in Idaho USA we have a lot of predators. He would be an easy meal.
Hey John ! thanks a lot man. Yeah Ol' Wendell is about 20lbs and would be an easy target for some of our predators as well, it's actually always on my mind when i'm out camping. But he's a good dog and doesn't stray too far from camp. Thanks for watching, Cheers !

Hey ! thanks buddy ! Yeah I'm trying to take a few lessons from Josh Gammon and take less gear and pack it better, everytime is a learning curve. It's a lot easier not bringing my wood stove and big tent though.

Hey Nate ! thanks man ! Ahhhh we dont have much flies from like September to May. but in the spring it's bad, ususally bad black flies, then they die down a bit, but then the Mosquitoes come out in force, then they die down to normal then in the heat of the summer we get the Deer/Moose flies, the ones that take a good bite out of ya, sometimes even make you bleed haha they usually stick around until the colder nights start.
Fantastic campsite, it would be easy to spend a few days there. I love the drive in and out too. Bummer about the drone, you took some good footage there, glad everything is fine. Wow, what a steak!!!

Hey Denis, thank you ! Oh yeah it's hard to beat a good rib steak. Yeah the Caledonia area is a lot like northern NB, lots of big hills, and clear rivers. I love it up north.

Hey another great camp video. You always seem to have different gear. I'm wondering where and how you store and organize your equipment at home, and then how you determine which selection of essentials you take with you on each trip. I have four tents because they're all different sizes and thought that was a lot. lol
Hey man !! thanks a lot ! yeah I have a bit of a tent problem now haha I built some shelving for all of my camping stuff, and yeah I just choose which gear to bring depending on each trip.
I keep looking at those kettles, but they seem inefficient as they can't nest with other cookware. Do you have any videos showing your cook gear and how it's packed?
Hey man, no I dont have a video on it, but with the kettle I like to kep all my spices, coffee and stuff inside of it when I travel. I dont have a lot of cookware honestly. Notrmally just cook over the fire with my grill, maybe I'll bring a frying pan, coffee cup.... and my kettle. and I like papaer plates so I can just burn them after I eat haha

Hey man, no I didn't do anything to my bike.... I tried to take a bolt out so I could clean my spark arrestor and it snapped off... maybe that is causing issues....

I remember seeing the msr hubba hubba tent in 1 of your videos. I was looking at getting a tent for some overnight atv camping and was wondering how you liked it. You know like waterproof, quality or some cons to it. Be primarily for summer here in Minnesota. Your video are great! And has inspired me to go atv camping!
Hey Jesse ! Oh man it's my favorite tent ! it's very high quality (and a high price tag) but it was worth it in my mind. it's super waterproof and if you want to see if in the most harsh conditions you should check out Justin barbour, the Newfoundland explorer. he uses it on all his trips and he does Insane long back country trips, he's on like a 70+ day trip right now, check him out, tell him I sent ya haha

Hey Buddy ! thank you, I haven't had any leaks with it, of course if you were to submerge it, it would probably let water in, but when I was my machine with the pressure washer, I usually only have a few drops that get inside.

I've been enjoying your videos man. I'm curious how you find the camping spots? I'd like to get out and give this a shot in the Fredericton area.
Hey man ! I find cool spots by just exploring with my ATV, then drop Pin's on google maps or my POlaris Ride command app. then I find others while hiking, or driving my truck. plus google maps is a great tool for that.
My drone did the same thing. Was flying over a lake and total loss of control. Bummer. Anyone hear if you can fly over water close to the surface? Nice vid as always though, thanks for posting.
I just checked my DJI Mavic mini 2 manual. Look at page 18 I think. They talk about what the sensors may have problems with and clear water is one of the problem areas.
Hey Mike ! as said below, I think with water the sensors can get Eff'd up a bit.... I was glad mine still works, only thing I lost was a battery.
Great video man. Sorry about your drone, I feel your pain as I crashed one in the water last June and lost it completely. Contact DJI and let them know what happened. They can examine your flight tracks to see if there was an error. They will replace it for you if it's still under warranty. You sure know how to eat when you're out camping!

Poor Wendell. They do make rain coats for dogs we had one for our yorky. She hated rain. So with the tent and no floor does the water creep in under the tent? Just curious
Hey man ! I see you commented on a few of my vidoes, thanks so much ! Yeah he doesn't care about the rain when hes running or anything just when on the ATV he doesn't like it in his face. I do have goggles for him now you can see in newer videos to protect his eyes.
I havent had that issue as of yet, the tent does come with the inner tent which has a floor and a bug net for summer use, I just choose not to bring it. personal preference I guess.

Hey ! no I haven't looked into them but I see a lot of fellow outdoor youtubers all use them, I may have to check them out.
@@Maritimer one thing I like about it is that it sends your track out every 10 minutes. So if something were to happen and you were incapacitated or whatever your loved ones could still see your last location. Nice peace of mind.

Hey Paul, When I take my wood stove, I dont have room for Wendell's crate. Yeah when it's bug season here it can get really bad, I still think Newfoundland has the worst bugs haha

Hey ! he's a Parson Russell terrier. a little bit different than a Jack. The parson has longer legs and a more square snout.
