need to add about the benefit of Tranexamic Acid taken orally: it has been the miracle i have been looking for for over 10 years for my stubborn melasma.
@@njinanadesh6091 yes! prescribed by a doctor (a dermatologist in my case) 650mg tablet. It's also in topical form -my doc also prescribed that and it can be found in many OTC lotions - but not as miraculous as when i took it orally. It was incredible.
Hi Amy! Wondering if you have experience with the product ‘Faded’ for facial hyperpigmentation that has become very popular among dermatologists? Has several similar ingredients as this. I have been alternating between these two. Thoughts?
I am familiar with Faded but have not tried it. It is well formulated with the key ingredients that benefit melasma. Alternating it into your routine sounds good. Hope it continues to work well!
Hi and welcome! I have not used any of the Minimalist products. But I took a look at the ingredients list for the Minimalist 3%TXA + 1% HPA serum. It is formulated with ingredients that disrupt pigment producing pathways. With any product, patch test and introduce it slowly, especially because of the exfoliating acid ingredients. If you give it a try, be consistent and patient. Wishing you good results. Keep us posted! Thanks.
@@arshali8832 Check out the study listed in the description box that looked at the results of using 5% Tranexamic acid. Keep in mind, formulation can make a difference and what works for one may not work for all. I personally like using Tranexamic acid in my routine when I am taking a break from Hydroquinone to help maintain any fading.
Tranexamic acid is known to be safe to use during pregnancy. However, it is always best to seek any medical advice about pregnancy or trying to conceive, from your OB/GYN doctor.
Could you do a before and after of the results and or comment on them as you didn’t say. I’m guessing it’s prevented the melasma coming back? But if you stop using it the melasma would come back? Many thanks
I just recently started back up with Tranexamic acid and do not have before/after pics. My goal is to maintain the results of the recent Hydroquinone Tretinoin. I posted a results video from a prior 8 week course and the link in the description box. Maintaining results is the challenge as melasma most likely will return or darken once Hydroquinone is stopped. Thank for your question Jenna!
@@investinyourface it will be good to see if it does come back the same or not with persistent use of tranexamic acid. I refuse to go near hq as the rebound isn’t worth it once you stop like you say. I did however take the tranexamic acid prescription and it did work while in use. I’d next like to try the topical and injectable version so was interested to know how you found it’s results after 8 weeks, but I guess you can’t say if you’re still using hq. Thanks for letting me know and fingers crossed it works out. I look forward to hearing your updates
@investinyourface Can I use Faded Topicals Serum and Naturrium Tranexamic Acid on aternative days? because these both serums contains Tranaxemic acid's same percentage and other ingredients are almost same too Please do reply
Yes, you can use the products on alternate days. Or you can choose just one of the products, since it has a similar formulation, and use it daily. Hope this helps. Thanks!
Hi Miriam! Yes, they pair well together to help manage melasma. Here the video about Alpha Arbutin where I state just that. Thanks! th-cam.com/video/d_-txtpZ00c/w-d-xo.html

I can't say, since I haven't tried it. But I read about their night treatment with 2% Tranexamic acid. It contains Vit C which I prefer to apply in the morning. Have you used products from this line? Thanks!
I would NEVER EVER buy the Naturium brand due to the shadiness of the founder (Susan Yara). There are many other great brands out there that carries Tranex acid.
I do not follow the influencer Susan Yara. I do agree that she did not handle it well by not disclosing her involvement with the brand prior to promoting it. But what she did does not take away from the Naturium developers having solid products and brand. I don't post sponsored content at this time and speak honestly when I like a product. Thank you for your comment. Please let me know brands you like for Tranexamic acid.
You really are missing out on some great, affordable skin care products from something you heard she may or may not have done wrong. I suggest you give Naturium a try.
I've become quite good at concealing my melasma with makeup. Thanks for noticing! But also, I am super diligent with sunscreen and being consistent with skincare. The next video that I am working on is about my morning skincare routine.
I am on Skin Medicinals after less than a week and I can tell it's working. Keeping my fingers crossed
I love Naturium products. They just work so well. ❤️
