I have three big sunspots that I have worked with the last four years. I have gotten to the point where I throw everything at them and religiously use my sunscreen. I am satisfied when I’m able to suppress them significantly. They never completely go away. Red light helps as well. I am content with a significant fading and skin brightening. I had to adjust my expectations.

I was put on tranexamic acid (pill form) for rosacea briefly. It was at the tail end of my treatment plan, my rosacea (demodex) was already very well under control. I decided to come off it because I didn't like the effects it had on my period. I wasn't on it long enough to see any effects on the redness. The theory was it might reduce the remaining redness AFTER my demodectic rosacea was put into full remission. Ultimately, I just stuck to Metronidazole cream for another couple years. Now, 6 years after starting my rosacea treatment, my redness is VERY minimal and I haven't had a flare in years (I don't have demodex anymore though). So it ended up not being a big part of my treatment, but we gave it a shot anyway.

Totally off topic here. Ive been in the skincare field for decades now. I know most viewers on here dont agree with the natural skincare or clean as some call it. I wasn't either. However, I was just diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. My home nurse told me to go all organic/natural in my skincare. Shes been a nurse for a very looooong time. So Im wondering if theres some truth in to these claims of toxins, etc harming us and causing cancer or other diseases. Please be kind and no bashing. I would very much like some recommendations on skincare lines that are mostly fragrance free that would be good for my issue. I already use Vanicreams products as well as some others. I dont really care for LaRoche Posay and the only products I like from CeraVe are their cleansers. No Cetaphil either please. Much appreciated.

Dr dray; you mentioned that it reduces inflammatory markers; it sounds like to me that it doesn’t allow for inflammation, isn’t that bad? If the skin doesn’t respond to external factors??
What does it mean for the skin if it can’t go into inflammation mode??

My Tretinoin formula has 5% Tranexamic Acid included . I use a Niacinimide and Glutathione moisturiser and vitC serum AM . I wouldn't buy a dedicated Tx serum or B3 or HA serum . 🙌👍🇬🇧😃

As a skincare pro, brilliant video. I will use this to educate both clients and PROS because it provides such a through and succinct review. Please could you comment on the new EU refs that are restricting % of TranX and Kojic acid in products and even treatments.

They have started to get some traction here in EU and I'm curious to hear what you think of eapeciallt their theramid line (vitA, 3% copper peptide, vit c, etc) but also their "transparent" retinal cream.

Your thoughts on Sunekos injectable? A TH-cam doc is been pushing a lot saying it’s the only anti-aging injectable that works. Saw his presentation seemed legit I was wondering about your thoughts ❤

It’s said don’t try to fix that’s unbroken. Meaning if you’re skin is doing fine acne free or few acne stray away from all this. No need to experiment w strong acids unnecessarily as good as they are they also do some serious irreversible damage.

Dr. Dray since it works on blood vessels can we assume tranexamic acid could also improve rosacea (specifically redness/dilated vessels)?
OMG you already answered, and I have steroid-induced rosacea from long-term use of the infamous Mario Badescu products containing undisclosed steroids... It's a good option since my skin is very sensitive and can't tolerate niacinamide and azelaic acid.
    Thank you, Dr. Dray! ❤

Can I get the communities thoughts on Doterra’s Tightening Serum. My mom asked me if she should order it and my first glance at the ingredient list tells me this is an oil not a serum and I could probably save my money and make it at home if I wanted to risk the irritation from the essential oils included. Anyone see it differently? Dr dray? 👀

Tranexamic serum has been a complete let down for my melasma. It's hard to completely get rid at home with just serums. Even with Vitamin C it's no miracle.

i've heard that oral tranexamic acid is great, but topical formulas might work less efficiently if at all because then the tranexamic acid is always positively charged and will have a harder time getting through the skin layers(??)

Hey Dr. Dray if you get a chance sometime hopefully you can address the issue of somebody who grew up in the sun and waited later in life to start caring for their skin properly 🙏🏼 I know alot of sun damage cannot be undone but do you have recommendations on products to try that can just overall help skin health in this case?
Edit: later in life = 30’s in my case.

which is better, tranexamic acid kojic acid or azelaic acid? I already have Paula's Choice azelaic and I want to stick with 1 product for now, but I don't know if others will yield better results...
