After seeing what BMW has just cooked up, this is a much needed breath of fresh air. Aston has actually, improved the car in all aspects, design and sound included.

@@TobRacer I totally agree, this V8 sounds like an old american muscle car that can be bought for a few thousand dollars. The old NA engine was screaming like a British Ferrari.
I really didn’t take to the coupe, looked very un-Aston. Amazing how chopping the roof off and making a few tweaks to the front end makes this drop dead gorgeous. Stunning machine and great video as per!
It still looks like a bottom feeding fish with or without that new grill and that interior, what is it with the new owner and nicking Mercedes designs.
Albert Didde Agreed, it was far from an ugly car, just didn’t have the elegant aesthetic of previous Astons. I realise they wanted to attract younger buyers to the brand through the more brash styling, but this strikes a lovely balance between fresh and classic.
Henry, that front nose and grill look sooooo much better than what the coupe was launched with. Aston should make it standard fit on both coupe and roadster. Now if they could just fit a decent looking steering wheel instead of an old Austin Allegro quadric wheel it would be nigh on perfect. Great video as always Sir, top work.
Aston Martin has, time after time, produced amazing looking cars. They sometimes fall short in other ways. This one is astonishingly beautiful, in my opinion.
Henry - your video on the R8 V10 Performance convinced me to get one last year. Now I'm half convinced to get one of these. It's so beautiful. Keep up the amazing videos!
20 years ago, Audi sliced a hard top with a canvas hood , which can go up and down in 6secs , you also sat very low , the hood was colour coded for an Olive Green body , matched with a green leather interior and door cards, green tinted glass (Inc windscreen) and you have my car....A first generation TTR 225 from a 1.8 l remapped 5 valve, top speed 156 mph...Nice.
This is an incredible review!! Great cinematography, i cant belive how superior to the actual top gear this channel is and how aston is just killing it with some very nice cars

I’ve driven the coupe and loved how challenging it was to hustle... I’m delighted to find thrills on offer at relatively sane speeds and the car certainly makes you keep your wits about you. I’ve no interest in one without a manual, but now that a 6 speed is available, I’m hoping to get something together with my local Aston dealer this year.
Yes but worse because of the hideous diffusers. Just horrid. Looks like it’s been covered in sticky back plastic and ram raided into Halfords. No wonder Andy Palmer was sacked. The whole range are hideously re-bodied Mercs.
The main question I have is what does this offer that my 2014 F Type V8S doesn't when I bought that for just over £35k? It still looks brilliant, sounds great and has a supercharged 5.0 V8 and RWD. Also has been mostly faultless and generally not too expensive to service.
That front grill makes a whole difference to the car, to the better.... although, something came to my mind while watching going around corners and that.... it reminds Jeremy Clarkson's mouth when he drove the Ariel Atom.... You know the one, and now i can't unsee it.
Yeah this confirms it. I love the 992 but the vantage is once again my favourite sports car. I loved the aggression but the new facia has restored that elegance from the previous car.
