I scored an Asus RTX 4060 ti on black friday off of ebay for 223 out the door, it was a liquidator , he had 11 of them and they all sold within an hour, and he even guarantees it and accepts returns. One of the best deals Ive ever got, right place right time. Awesome build Mike!
I got me a 49 inch Wide Screen Curved Monitor from Sansung for $739, i know its not officially a PC part but i cant wait to fire it up! Great video Mike🎉

I’d like to see an AM5 build on similar approach to this. For now, I think I will wait for DDR5 ram prices to go down. The AM5 B650 mobos seem to be going down in price. AM5 CPU mmmm… so so. That could be a long wait. I don’t know. I still feel my AM4 build could last another 3-5 years and still deliver on content creation (Photoshop, Blender, animation and digital art). I’m getting too old to be deep into playing games on pc. Play on ps5 with my kids. My son on the hand, also wants to do creative stuff but I also know he loves pc gaming. So few upgrades for me to think about.
Also went shopping for an intel i7 12700kf for 195 pounds! I also chose wisely of the other cpus I bought in the 14 generation of intel eg 14500s and the 14400f couple of those each!

After just two recent builds, last month, I prefer the ASRock B650 Pro RS over the MSI Gaming Plus Wifi..I built using both... Oh. You went AM4 and I need glasses. Well if anybody wants to go AM5, you can get a 7600 or 7600x for not too much more. I personally went with the 9600x, but that combo adds about $100-150 to the total build cost. And for gaming performance, there isn't much difference between the 5700x3d and the 7600x. So if you're trying to save money, the 5700x3d is great.
RX6800, it does sip power I can testify. My Sapphire Nitro+ OC, even with the VBIOS switch set to OC. Gaming I barely reach 350W, only 1080p but max game settings. PSU wattage use as displayed on the XG750 LCD, so full system usage[R7 5700X] GPU HWinfo BL3 circa 198w✌

Unfortunately, the RX 7800XT is too expensive here, so I bought the RX 6800. Still thinking about the CPU, but 5700X3D is manageable. Which motherboard would you choose for these?
1080p = affordable - Intel 1440p = expensive - AMD 2160p = Bankruptcy/second mortgage - Nvida The idea I would live long enough to see intel offering best bang for buck graphics card shows how distorted the GPU landscape has become.
Pretty good parts build list...except for the AMD mobo and CPU. Intel for the win. Been with Intel since the days of the 8088 processor. Thanks for sharing Mike and Lady Kath. Cheers
I want intel to do well for the sake of the industry, but logic dictates no one should ever be brand loyal ignoring all reality as that is the path to costing you more while getting less. Trust me, intel, AMD, Nvidia, do not give a damn about you, only what's in your wallet, so give more of a damn about your wallet than brand loyalty. 30 years at this has taught me that long ago. Best wishes.
Great video as usual Mike.I would go for the parts you chose, but my mobo and cpu would always be intel.Enjoyed the video and thank you for sharing it with us 👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As someone still on the AM4 platform, is it worth it to upgrade from a 5600x ? Or should I first get a QHD 120hz monitor?
depends what you are trying to achieve, for work the 5900x is a good update, or for gaming the 5700x3d
QHD never a better time to buy one. Shocked at the much lower price including ax in the UK. Compared to a few years ago.
